"Is that your wish?" the girl tilted her head not quite understanding. "Will it make you happy?"

Yellow lights played on the cavern walls just outside the cave room. Her ripped toga and dirty feet where the last things I saw before closing my eyes awaiting for the peace that would come, the power that seethed into the point of my neck.

She stopped, frozen, halted by some unseen force. A long moment passed, soon I smelled something warm. Her hand was trembling shaking against my neck as she pulled it back, she seemed to be struggling with something inside of her. Her eyes softening at the sight of me as if she had come to an understanding, I opened my eyes to find a warm piece of bread in my face. I felt speechless, forgetting the pain I was in, the past I could not then remember.

"But its not is it?" she said slowly. She looked up above as if there where stars she could see in this enclosed space, to the top of the very deep well that connected them to the world outside the cavern.

Slowly she rose.

"No, there is something I see a purpose, one you are not aware of. I will not grant you your wish, if what you truly wish for is death then I commend you to live until you have given your life for another. Since you care not for you life, take satisfaction, to them" she stared directly at him at this point. "You have died, now you are free. Take peace in that." Then stepping over my injured body tilted her head behind her one last time. "Oh, when you have a real wish let me know," she walked aloofly out to the rocky tunnels.

Her shadow distorting the yellow light that soon vanished with her my vision soon after, the world faded black and I found myself immobile, unsure and bewildered from the events that transpired.

The room was suddenly silent, the strange voices no longer bothering me, though I was still irrational. something about her had rendered me unable to move. It wasn't until a few hours later of zoning in and out that I regained my senses, no longer feeling utterly delusional.

I then lingered to a few feet in front of me there was an oddly murky puddle. If I had not been feeling utterly numb to pain I may have thrown up.

"..." It occurred to me at that moment that I should examine my body, I twisted my pained neck to my right in order to view my damaged arm. It was wrapped in what I could distinguish to be light fabric, though it was too dark to tell.

The realization was clear and struck me like a needle. It made perfect sense,

"She was angry.."

It was an odd dream of a maroon door, my hand lingering at the iron handle. it seemed my dream would not change; I felt too afraid to open it and see what was within. The sight was hazy and in a strange ecstasy I opened the door wide open, I was engulfed in flames.

                                                                              "...son..."

Before I could be turned to ash I found myself safe somewhere far away my feet no longer touching the ground, as I was in the middle of space and the chaos far behind me.

It was at this point I nearly woke up but, in a daze fell asleep once more. My dream was now completely black, and I was certain it was a dream as I heard around me strange voices, a singing voices echo. It was the voice I heard earlier but this time it was different. In the distance one red star caught my focus, floating towards it.
