A sky

Stars
And he
Was staring
At her.

CITI

"What the hell took you so long? " A girl with jet black hair and black Asian eyes yelled  at Citi.

Citi was panting from running as fast as she could  going to where  Marina was.

"Oh God,  don't even ask. " she tells her in between breaths.

"So tell me why the heck did you call me at the middle  of my working  hours? " Marina could see that she's  been through something just to get here and laughed a little on how miserable Citi looked.

"Okay." she started with a chuckle.
"You would never believe this."

Marina said and Citi rolled her eyes saying "Just tell me already"

"Okay...  Well there was this guy,  he's  three years older than us.. " Citi nods "mmm.. hmm.. " Marina noticed this little soaked spot on Citi's shirt but she didn't point it out.

"And he mostly wears black, and he wears earrings and he has lots of cool friends and he's like this kind of leader of this group." sounds like bad news to Citi.

"Oh gawd. A gangster? " Citi asks. This were the kind of guys your Mom would hate to see you with.

And Marina's Mom  was as strict as Citi's parents,  and though they're  not around she just grew up frightened by them.  She doesn't  need to make any mistakes or she's  dead.

"No. ..he's  like in our school  band. " Marina defends "..and you like him? " Citi raises her left eyebrow. Marina shrugs and mutters "uhmm... He kinda asked  me out?"and Citi's mouth was left hanging open.

"What? " Citi asks in disbelief.  Marina was a nerdy type of girl. She was seriously a smart ass and unfortunately, was an awkward person,  but she's  seriously  fun and she likes music,  books and , is a gamer. And Citi couldn't  believe that a kind of a guy  like him actually  noticed a girl like Marina.

"Oh my goodness Marina Serena Brown,  do you like this boy? " Citi almost shouts.  "shut up" she tells  me "My Mom's just over there that's  why I told  to come here."

"Do you freaking like him? " Citi asked again hoping for answers." I still don't  know."
"what's  his name? "

"Finn" and she muffled a laugh with the unexpected information.
"why are you laughing ? " Marina asks.

"you know, I was hoping for something like Storm or Flame  or bad-ass-y kind of names. His name  sounded like a cartoon  character ." They both laughed.

"Most people  call him something blablabla with Dragon,  I don't know. " Marina tells.  "so you're like into gangstas now? " Citi teased.  "no..  I like guys into music and.. he can rap" she smiles.

"Hey Citi! " and it was Mrs.  Brown, and they instantly  changed the subject to "yeah, you should try that coffee" Citi said before greeting Marina's Mom.

"Hey Aunt Emma " after Mrs. Brown came , they stopped with the conversation about Finn the Dragon Warrior and after minutes they both left and Citi walked back to the café, feeling empty again.

She hated this kind of feeling, when you're just happy and it stops,  and you go back to feeling all miserable  and  gloomy again.

Citi opens the door and the bell rings  again,  giving Clyde a notice that someone came in.

"Hey,  where've you been? " Clyde asked while wiping the tables.
'I've been to London to visit the Queen'. was what she wanted to reply but she was not in the mood.

"Just outside, met with my highschool best friend." she replied apathetically and slumping lazily on a chair

"Oh." Clyde noticed that she was not in the mood,  so he didn't talked to her anymore.

Afternoon were both of their free time but they still both stayed, as customers. Citi was  at the second floor  again, where most of the shelves  were , looking for some book to read while Clyde was on the first floor sipping  on his cappuccino.

Citi was inside another dimension and almost forgot who she was until she finished the book.

She checked the time when she pressed her phone open,  since she never wore any wristwatch because she thought it was such a struggle when she has to wash her hands and the wristwatch might get soaked.
It was already seven twenty-three .
Citi stood up, stretched a little and yawned while making his way to the veranda on the second floor and was surprised when he saw someone already there.

It was Clyde. She thought he already left. His hand gripped at the railing and he was looking intently at something  that seemed nothing but void,  his head and shoulders bent forward .Clyde was a really serious type of guy,  he seemed  way more mature than other guys his other age.

She was about to go back inside ,but Clyde turned his head and she just suddenly blurted "Uhmm..  I'm just about to go, you needed some alone time ?" Citi said awkwardly gesturing with her fingers pointing inside .
"no,  it's okay. " she really  didn't want to,but she didn't want to stretch the conversation to--him insisting and her declining-- ,so she stood beside him and took a deep breath.

Citi stared at the busy road and at the people that sauntered in the night streets that was lit up  by the pretty streetlights and the stores that were open.  Her stomach felt slightly  churning,  she suddenly  felt nostalgic and realized that she missed  home ,though she doesn't  know what made her that way.

So she stared at the night sky,  millions of stars stared back at her and she suddenly smiled  because she realized that the night made her feel nostalgic, the stars,  the breeze, and the lights. They all made her feel nostalgic and made her want to go back.  She laughed inside  her mind when she remembered  the memories back in her town, when her best friends would walk her home from school while singing their own composed songs.

"You --" someone uttered and Citi shifted his sight to the guy beside him, his eyes on her and he suddenly flinched and "Ugh , oh,  nothing,  I ugh " and she just stared at her and didn't  know she to do,  since she didn't  want it to make it awkward  either. They had small  talks about the cool breeze etcetera, it was nothing but small talks and the awkward ambiance between them.

She got her phone again and checked the time "gotta  go." she  said.
"Yeah, see you " Clyde  would always  say. And Citi suddenly chuckled when she remembered Clyde's face  when stammering. She didn't want to be all self absorbed but it almost looked like Clyde has a crush on her. But that's too impossible,  she was as attractive as a caterpillar .

She walked going home. She suddenly felt drained and the feeling annoyed her which felt more draining.

KASPIAN

Mrs. Murray, the eldest maid greets Kaspian home with a worried look. Kaspian knew again he was about to be scolded by his parents. His smile faded as soon as he got inside the living room where his parents and grandparents sat. He suddenly felt nervous,  he wasn't expecting for their visit.

"Hello Kaspian " his grandfather greets , "so where's Chimchim? " Grandma  asks.  She was talking about  Kaspian's older  brother(Chimchim is his brother's lame nickname) He was always everyone's  favorite.

He was always  good at everything  while Kaspian thought he was the opposite .  He'd  wanted to prove himself too, but what's the point  of proving yourself  when they already  think you're useless and incapable of doing better.

"I don't know" Kaspian replies,  and gestured he has to go change . He hurriedly  went upstairs  and threw himself  to his bed.

Not  long after he heard everyone greeting someone,  it looks like his oh-so-perfect brother  had already arrived.

"Where've you been ?" Kaspian could hear them talking so he got his earphones and slammed  it inside his ears. It's  not that he hates his brother,  It's  just that everything he is,  is the opposite  of him,  and although  his parents  never mention it,  he knows that they're  upset  that Kaspian's not like him.
