Inseparable

"You what!"

I felt my eyes flutter open and my first instinct was to stretch. I pulled my arms up and yawned feeling my whole body, stretch and  relax. Then all the memories came back. The nightmare. Jelene. I felt the bile rise to my throat.

I knew what was happening so I ran to the the bathroom, to where I threw up everything I had eaten in the morning.

Lexi came running in and frowned her own tears falling down her face.

"It's okay, love. It's okay."

After I finished my shower I went down to the kitchen and saw Lexi sitting down on her phone. "Hey." I said so low she didn't hear it. So I said it louder. "Hey." this time she turned around and looked at me with concern. "Hi, did the shower help?" She said slurping her smoothie. I nodded and half shook my head. I pointed to my head. Lexi frowned and nodded "Same." She whispered.
"I made a smoothie want one?"
"Yes!" I shouted.
It was quite for few seconds before Lexi burst out laughing and got up from the stool and went to make my smoothie.
"Thanks, Lex!" I smiled and shot my finger guns at her.
"Ew." She said and spun on her heal to the fridge.
I grinned and headed to the tv to watch Sponge bob, when I remembered, Cody! How did he  contact her? Why didn't he contact her before? Questions spun in circles in my head until the blenders loud noise scared me and I quickly turned on the Tv.

Lexi was in the middle of bragging at how 'hot' Anthony was in certain actions. She was obviously enjoying this more then me so I quickly changed the topic. "oh my gawd! His-"
"So why did Cody just dm you? You've literally had Instagram since forever!?"

She smirked as she saw my red face that I was more interested in talking about Cody then her and Anthony's activities. "Well like a normal person, he just messaged me I acted like I didn't know him, the usual."

I gave her a blank face.

She chuckled.

"I asked why he never talked to us again." She breathed in and closed her eyes before I was greeted with her big brown eyes.

"Her mom got diagnosed with cancer 2 weeks after-" She looked at me and cleared her throat.
"You know. Anyways, after that Cody and Micheal were very upset, but life was life so James thought it was best if they all moved and lived closer to the family, so they left even if Cody and Jelene didn't want to, they knew they had too."

"Why didn't they say goodbye?" I whispered.
"Jelene-" she suddenly stopped and I saw tears we're falling down her face. I got closer to Lexi and hugged her. "They were suppose to call you the night when they got there because Cody and Jelene felt if they said goodbye they wouldn't want to leave." I nodded.
So she continued.
"When they got there Jelene fell terribly sick and-" she choked out. "She died as the doctors saw the cancer had spread to more parts of her body. Something they didn't notice. So she died that night." She broke down and so did I. It hurt a lot.

I understood a little of what he went through. And it must have been hard, because it surely is for me.
" He told me he also just got instagram recently, as-" she cleared her throat. "He wanted to talk to us." She smiled and I smiled back. "He was totally missing us." I said teasingly.
She nodded and looked at me nervous.

"And I sorta just ordered tickets to Florida?!"

"YOU WHAT!"
