"Do you feel any better?" Brooklynn asked Franco as she stroked his chest.

It had been a few hours since they had returned to the apartment after the entire unpleasurable situation that they had endured with Franco's estranged aunt and uncle. Ever since they had returned, Franco had been almost completely silent but had refused to allow Brooklynn to leave his arms for even a second.

"No," Franco said as he buried his face further into her hair.

Brooklynn reached up to stroke his jaw.

"It's almost eight, let's just order some food and just get ready for bed," Brooklynn murmured before trying in vain to leave the bed.

Franco's grip tightened and Brooklynn relaxed once more under his touch.

She looked up at him trying to think of something, anything to get him to cheer up. She hated seeing him so ad. Especially on the day that they were both supposed to be happy and enjoying each other.

She could tell from the frown lines she could see from the angle she was at, that he was still very much remembering all about what had happened that afternoon and perhaps even reliving the things that had happened when he was younger before they had met.

From all of the time she had known Franco, she knew that he didn't let things go easily. The first time around it had taken him a few years to let go of what happened in his past with his mother and father. His life with his aunt and uncle were things that they had discussed and things that Brooklynn had assumed that he had let go of. However, she knew that what had happened that day had just brought up old wounds and memories.

Brooklynn peeked at the time as she tried her hardest to think of something that would at least break him out of the state he was in.

She cycled through idea after idea until finally settling on one that would at least distract him for the moment.

She pulled herself out of his embrace and almost damn near had to use all of her strength to make him release her.

Franco's eyes opened and an annoyed look crossed his features.

"Brooklynn," He grumbled as he attempted to reach for her once again.

She quickly stood from the bed and began gathering her clothes from the floor from where Franco had thrown them earlier, "Let's go do something to get your mind off of things."

He shook his head stubbornly and placed his forearm over his eyes. His other arm extended towards her, a silent demand that she join him once again.

"Come on! You'll really like it," Brooklynn whined as she quickly slid on her top and bottoms.

"No," Franco grumbled once more.

Brooklynn picked up his t-shirt and allowed it to land next to him.

"Are you sure?" Brooklynn asked playfully.

Franco only nodded before demanding, "Come back to bed."

"Fine... I guess I'll just call Enzo and ask him to join me at the tattoo parlor. Maybe we can get matching tattoos while we're at it and I can show them to you later."

At the mention of Enzo's name, Franco's arm had lowered from his eyes at breakneck speed. The mere mention of Brooklynn going anywhere near him sent rage and jealousy through his entire body.

Brooklynn who was already walking towards the door heard a very distinct noise similar to a growl before she was suddenly spun around to face him. Franco walked her back against the nearest wall and with a dark glint in his eyes said in a deadly calm voice.
