06 - Meeting

MARCO DALLAS

"Good Morning, Marco. What's for breakfast?" Zac slung his arm around my neck but I pushed it away.

"You're unexpectedly late. I thought you would be here around 7." I said, not bothering to look at them. I felt their eyes on me.

"I had a feeling that you'll get here earlier than our call time to have free breakfast. That's why I asked the servants to cook more foods. You're welcome." I said, gesturing them to sit as the servants prepare their utensils, they bow before leaving.

"By the way, I saw Ellena last night." I looked up at Raphael before continuing my food.

"She's going to visit her babies." Gabriel said, making all of us spit our food and drinks. We looked at him "WHAT?!"

"I'll tell you all. Let's just eat, first." He replied.

"After what you told us, you think we'll eat any slower." Max said, eating like a pig.

Actually, all of us are eager to know the truth and the only way to do that is to finish our food faster, making us look like pigs.

We all sat around the table as Gabriel presents his research about Ellena.

Gabriel gave each and everyone else a file that contains Ellena's life for the past years.

"What do you want to hear? Her whole life or her life for the past 7 years?" He asked.

"Current." We answered in unison. He nodded before setting down the projector.

"The last time we saw her was 7 years ago at Marco's party. After the party we haven't seen her at school. Almost a month and a half she haven't been attending school. The Principal called her, as to why we saw her again before she flew back at Maldives, her hometown.

All that time, she was pregnant with fraternal twins. She came back after her 1st check-up in Maldives. When, she was at her 21 week pregnancy, a truck that was owned by Michael Thompson loses it's brake resulting to go in rampage around Wall Street where she and her two other acquaintances. Based on the CCTV footage, they were about to run but Ellena pulled away from her friend, Emily Love and helped a 3 year old girl named, Bella Sebastian."

Gabriel played a CCTV footage, it showed that Ellena pulled away from Emily's grasp and ran over a little girl who was crying drastically. A truck came raging towards them, Ellena immediately pushed the kid away but she didn't have much time to react. The truck made a painful contact with her enormous baby bump, she was thrown to a light pole as she slowly falling down to her arse with blood coming out of her legs, making a huge blood stain in her maternity dress. Then, a man came over to her and carried her to his car.

Gabriel paused the footage and giving us a signal that he would be continuing his research.

"Her cousin, Lorenzo Ross, was the person who brought her to the nearest hospital. A week before the accident Stephanie Ross, Lorenzo's wife, gave birth to their first child, Marcus Ross. While she's having her contraction, she suffered a internal bleeding and unfortunately, the hospital that she was in, doesn't have the same blood as she is, causing her to die.

Ellena helped Lorenzo to take care of Marcus and as a return Lorenzo build Heaven's Cafe for a gift for Ellena. Ellena is not only a Businesswoman but she is also a model of Rose Gold Corp. Every month there's a auction for it. The bidder could have the person he/she bidded all night."

We looked at him with pity in our eyes for Ellena. I tried to find my voice but a shaky voice came out. "Pregnant?" He looked at me, hurt was written in his face.

"I'm sorry, Marco but based on the DNA, the twins was yours." They all looked at me. I tried my hardest to maintain my posture.

"Yesterday was their death anniversary, am I correct?"

"Yes..." I swallowed a huge lump before standing up.

"When will be the next auction?" I asked, not turning back.

"Later at 8:00. The theme is Red Carpet."

"Did you say Rose Gold Corp?" Raphael asked, which Gabriel probably answered by nodding.

"That company is actually my rival. The owner of it, Xian Johnson invited me but since I don't want to come, I'll send you the invitation later." I nodded before leaving.

I head to my room and locked it before re-thinking my life if I had known the truth.

Family with Ellena? It would have been perfect.

A knock woke me up. I opened the door and saw Alfred, my butler holding a red envelope. I took it and send him away. It was the invitation for the Rose Gold Corp. auction.

I'll have you Ellena and if you think I'll let you go. You're dead wrong.
