ELLENA SCARLET
"Scarlet, what's wrong with me?" A messed-up, heart-broken woman asked me.
The messed-up and heart-broken woman is, none other than, my best friend; Emily Love.
I shook my head. "Love, nothing is wrong with you." I took her hand and hold it tightly.
"Then, why would he cheat on me?" She exclaimed.
"Emily Watson Love, please stop." I held her in my arms as she struggled to get off of my grasp.
"I want to talk to him..." She mumbled.
I pushed her away as if she's a plague. I raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to continue with her nonsense.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"I said; I want to talk to him." Is she seriously hurting herself intentionally?
My eyebrow keeps twitching from irritation.
"Why?"
"Ellena, we were engaged for a year. We were supposed to get married sooner or later."
Oh, I forgot. Derek proposed to her on their 8th anniversary. Only a year before their wedding and this bullsh*t happened to her.
"You want to talk to him. You think there are still problems to resolve." She nodded.
"So, do you really think he wants to talk? Do you think you can win him back with a dialogue that's full of bullshits?"
"No, but...-"
"I'm still not done." She pout.
"I mean, at one point, when we were single, we had to go through several breakups and we rejected a number of men." She silently giggled.
"And they all wanted one thing: to talk. Do you really want to talk to them? Of course not." She shook her head.
"But out of pity, we agreed to meet them. Time is gold. You have no choice but to keep the conversation brief." She agreed.
"It doesn't matter what they say anyway, because you've made up your mind. You wanted out." She agreed slowly.
"So, go ahead and meet with Derek. Talk to him." She looks like she's debating.
She's no valedictorian for nothing. She definitely knows my point.
"But be prepared, because he already made up his mind. Ok?" I told her in the most harshest way from a best friend.
"Shouldn't you be supporting me?" She asked, tears running down her rosy checks.
"Yes. That's why I'm saying this to you."
"Then, why do I feel like, all the things I've done for him was nothing?"
"You feel the pain because you know all the things I've said was true."
"No! It's not! He loves me! You know that! I know that! He knows that! That b*tch is only manipulating his mind!"
I've never seen her like this. It's kinda overwhelming. I mean, their relationship is so perfect to be true. They've had misunderstandings before, yes. But in the end of the day one of them will give up their waiting game and apologised.
"You know what? If you keep acting like this, you surely won't have him back." I turned around.
"Call me when you're ready."
I know it's really harsh especially when it came from your best friend but she have to open her eyes and see the realization. Realization, that people who says good things doesn't mean they have pure souls or good intentions.
I left her house and drove to the Dallas Inc. FYI, I'm not visiting Marco. I'm visiting the snake who took Derek away from Emily. Marco Dallas' very own Personal Assistant, Francesca Smith.
I gave my keys to the valet and entered the building. I walked up to the receptionist.
"Is Dallas in here?" Her sickening sweet face turned into a sour and disgusting scowl.
"And you are?"
I removed my sunglasses and smiled at her. "Ellena. Ellena Scarlet."
Her look is really priceless.
"Ms. Scarlet, Mr. Dallas is still in his meeting."
"Ok. Bye."
"Ms. Scarlet, wait! You can't disturb him." She chases after me but was too late when the elevator closed.
I pressed the highest floor and waited.
It stopped in a halt as I stepped out. She was nowhere to be found, that's when I decided to talk to Marco.
"Dallas, we need to talk about...-"
Oops! Caught Red-Handed
The scene that was before me is surely breaking my heart. My heart that I turned into a steel many years ago.
"Ellena? What are you doing here?"
Marco detach himself from a woman. Francesca Smith.
"Wow! What a B*tch!" I clapped at her. I really don't like the way Marco glares at me but I don't give a f*ck about him at this time.
"First, you stole my best friend's fiancé. And now, your own boss. Your a disgrace as a woman." I said with disgust lacing through each word.
"I don't know what your talking about, Ms."
"Playing the innocence, huh?"
"That's enough!" Marco shouted.
