I fix myself up half as nice as I did last night for the Italian Café. I knew Jason was coming; his little speech today was pretty convincing. So I just wait on him. My mom walks past me. Stops. Then walks back.
"You look great hun" she says with a creepy smile on her face.
"Haha, thanks mom" I say.
"No! Really! I cant believe you're my daughter" she says pretty loud.
'Neither can I; I mean look at us.' I think to myself.
"Oh haha well I am... right?" I suddenly get a little serious.
"Why of course Tina, haha" She looks disturbed & walks up stairs. "Uh have fun, there $25.00 on the kitchen counter."
I take the $25.00 & walk back to the front door. I look down at my clock to see the time of '6:59pm'.
!!DING DONG!!
I jump a little. I never knew our doorbell way sow loud! Actually I didn't even know we had a door bell. I look in the mirror super quick then answer the door. I hope I look okay in his eyes.
"Woah" he says & clears his throat a little "I mean hey, hey uh lets get going shall we?"
"Haha yes we shall." I say as I grab my side purse.
He gets in the car, & so do I. He is a few months older than me so he can already drive. He only has his G1 though. Meaning it was illegal for him to be driving. I dont bring it up & we start to drive towards the café.
"You look nice" he finally says.
I smile & reply with "You dont look to bad yourself; I must say you clean up pretty well."
He was wearing an outfit that screamed "IM HOT!" Thank goodness I did my make up nice or I would look out of place with him.
We finally arrive, we park the car & walk in. A waitress shows us to our table & offers drinks.
"Water please." I say.
"She wants a coke; not diet. I'll take the same." Jason says.
The waitress walks away & I give him the what-the-hell look.
"I see your losing a bit of weight. Come cant kill you." He says while smirking.
He noticed? Wow! He noticed. He still cares about me then! Oh what am I saying. He just noticed I'm getting a little boney.
"So about last night" he says while letting out a small sigh.
"Please tell me what happened... truthfully" I say with a half-worried look on my face.
"Well... Are member how we walked to school the other day? Well Pat-"
I cut him off "Yes I know; I heard everything in the hallway, she called me 'THAT BITCH'"
"Yeah well last night she came over at 6:30pm & insisted we talk it out & that I say something to you." He says shyly.
"She wanted you to tell me something? Well, what?" I say innocently.
"You dont wanna know."
"Actually..." I pause "I do."
"Your a bitch, after what you've done to me last year you deserve much worse then what im giving you. I hate you & I always will" He says.
"She wanted you to tell me that?" I say with year filled eyes.
"Yes, but but but" he says a little too fast "I told her I never would, & thats what held up the night. She kept arguing with me & wouldnt get out of my house. It was awful"
"Well... its okay" I say to him while looking down at my lap.
"Are you sure. I feel awful" he says.
"Im fine, but I have just one more question"
"Anything" he says.
"I know I had a snot ball on my cheek a few days ago but why did you make a big deal about it & laugh with your friends?" I say; a little embarrassed.
"What snot ball?" he chuckles.
"The one on my face, on that day that the substitute teacher was there."
"Oh that day" he says. "I wasn't laughing at that. I never knew you had a snot ball on your face" He pauses laughs then continues "I was laughing at the fact that you put your bra on top of your shirt. Isn't that supposed to go underneath your shirt" he laughs.
"I was really tired that day... I didn't even know" I say. Then laugh at myself with him.
The waitress then shows up at our table with a note book.
"May I take your orders" she says.
I realized we both hadn't looked at the menus.
"Two Spaghetti Bombs please" he says with confidence. He leans over & whispers "Ive been here a few times before".
I smile at him whispering to me. It was pretty hot. We talked for the rest of the night & he drove me home at around 10:00pm. Thats a three hour date! I mean... um. Get together? Anyway the night was great & I would love to do it again. Once I get home I run straight to my bedroom & text Aleah thinking she would care.
Tina: Aleah! Guess what.
7 minutes later she replies.
Aleah: I dont wanna hear it. Screw you.
I drop my phone & slightly cry. I fall asleep in my tears & hope tomorrow we can talk it out. Text is NOT the way to fix my ONLY friendship with a girl.
