Rage and Remembrance

A new morning arrives and the huntsmen and huntresses in training start to awake for a new day. It was still early, and most would postpone their wake as far as possible. It was calm. Inside RWBY's dorm a bunch of young huntresses were still enjoying their sleep. That was until a certain blonde haired girl rolled out of her bed. A loud thump resonated throughout the room, waking the rest of her team. A white haired girl stands up and walks over towards the bathroom, all the while mumbling incoherent gibberish to herself. The remaining two teammates open their eyes last and look over at the blonde, who somehow managed to keep sleeping despite dropping to the floor. One person was missing though.

The redheaded leader looked around the room, searching for her boyfriend. She called his name, "(Y/n)? You up yet?", but got no response. She hopped out of her bunk and noticed a note stuck to her bedside. It was from (Y/n). "Heya Petal, Good morning! If you read this, it probably means you're awake. Well, that or this is all a dream~ Anyways, I couldn't sleep well, so I decided to leave the room. You know, not accidently wake you guys up (and feel the wrath of a certain blonde). Anyways, I'll either be on the roof or in the training room if you need me. Love ya! (Y/n) <3" It said. On the backside of the note were some drawings. One of them was a beautifully sketched rose. Next to it was a rather childish drawing of two people hugging. Though childishly drawn, the features of the people was very detailed. It was clearly meant to look like Ruby and (Y/n).

Ruby quickly readied herself and tried to wake Yang. She didn't budge. Knowing it was pointless she just left Yang for her teammates. "I'll be out to look for (Y/n). See you later guys!" She said when she left the room. The leader walked the halls until she arrived at the training room. Strange enough it was empty. No boyfriend, no other friends, not even another student or upperclassmen. She called his name again "(Y/n), are you here?" only to receive no response. A tumbleweed rolled by.

After the training room, Ruby decided that the only other place for him to be was the roof. (Y/n) has always loved being up there. He enjoys watching the sky from there and just generally likes to be up there. 'Has he slept up there or something? I can't remember if he returned last night' Ruby thought, as she brought a hand to her head. She walks up the stairs and starts hearing a faint music. She walks closer to the door and slightly opens it. She looks on the roof and she sees tossing a note to the ground, hard. He grabs his scroll and turns up the volume, while changing the song.

[Que music ]

The music ques in and he starts singing to the beat of the song. At first it was rather calm, but he gradually let out more emotion.

I'll make it happen with some work and belief

Ruby stares at him in awe, not knowing he could sing that good. It was perfect in tune with the music.

She knew her boyfriend wanted to become stronger, better to protect the others. But she didn't expect his feelings to be this strong. She opened the door a little more and looked at the (h/c) haired boy.
