"You know what, yes, I'll go out with you."

Ella's Pov

It was third period and I had A.P. Chemistry. I walked into class and sat in the back of class. This was one of the two classes I didn't have Noah in. As it gets closer the the 5 minute mark for the late bell, the class fills up, along with the seats around me.

Half way through the class the guy in front of me turned around, "Hey. You're Ella, right."

"Yes," I stretch out the word playfully.

"Hi, I'm Cody," He says.

"Hello Cody."

"I'm gonna put my ass on the line right now and risk getting beat up. Would you like to go see a movie with me?" He asks nervously.

"Why would you get your ass kicked for asking me out, I mean I know my brothers scary but he knows I can handle myself," I say even more confused.

"It's not your brother I'm weird about, it's Noah. He's told all the guys to stay away from you, or he'd kick their ass. You didn't know?" He asks, him now being the one confused.

"No, I didn't. Why would I-" I cut myself off, "You know what, yes, I'll go out with you." I write down my number on a piece of paper and rip it out of my notebook to give it to him, "Here's my number, text me all the details."

He take it and stuffs it in his back pocket, then he smiles and turns back around. The end of the period bell goes off and Cody gets up to leave first. He winks at me causing me to smirk and watch him walk out of class.

I'm sitting next to Elle in detention doing some work I was given in my first couple of periods so I don't have that much homework.

"Psst," Someone says behind Elle. I turn as she does to see the holding a paper to her.

She grabs is and reads the front, 'elle'. She opens it and tilts it slightly so I can read too, 'I'm sorry'.

We both look back at Tuppen who makes the most pathetic puppy dog face I've ever seen, Rose could do better. It's directed at Elle which causes me to roll my eyes and turn around.

A few seconds later we hear another, 'psst', and we both turn around to see the same guy holding out another piece of paper.

This time I snatch it completely annoyed that he keeps trying to hit on Elle after what he did this morning. 'What do I have to do to get your number?"

I show Elle and she looks towards Tuppen, him mouthing 'come on', then back at me and shrugs.
I come up with the perfect idea and smirk at Elle then write it down on a new sheet of paper then rip it out of my notebook and pass it to her.

Elle smile and laughs at it then passes it back. He opens it up and seems impressed at what we came up with as Elle starts giggling and I just smirk.

Elle then turns the other way and makes a confused face and I turn to see who she's looking at to see none other than my brother. I continue to smirk knowing that he's jealous 

After a couple minutes I hear the teacher snoring and then Elle taps me. I look at her in question only for her to point at Tuppen's empty seat.

The door slams open and Tuppen walks in. He's wearing a uniform skirt instead of his normal pants. Everyone turns around in shock. Many take pictures and start to 'whoop' and cheer and him. Tuppen starts to pose and all Elle and I do is laugh.

A/N: ok I know I said I would update yesterday but I was busy trying to get the present for my dad ready. I'm not gonna update everyday but I'm probably not gonna have a schedule. Maybe I'll update Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mostly starting next week. Idk yet but I hope you guys are liking the story so far. The parts that are mostly based on the book are coming soon it will probably be after the kissing booth scene b/c if you've read the book the scene in the movie makes a little more sense. I hope you have a nice Father's Day whether you are a father, have a father, don't have a father, are a single mother (b/c they count as fathers too they do both jobs), or anything else.
