Author's POV:
A fit of laughter made Y/n look up slowly from the book that she was intrigued into. Shaxx held his stomach through his armour, throwing his head back. Y/n closed her book slowly and rested her elbow onto it in her lap, placing her chin in the middle of her palm. She smiled warmly, Shaxx placing his hands back onto his hips slowly, "No guardian. The Cabal will crush you like a bug."Y/n shut her eyes and frowned lightly, placing her book to one side and standing up, joining Shaxx meekly.
The experienced Warlock eyed her up and down and whistled, "Damn Shaxx, this your girl?"
Y/n blushes as her eyes widened greatly, "As a matter of fact I don't flirt with married women." Y/n gazed up at Shaxx, he stared forwards into the Warlock's awoken eyes, "Move along now, the Fallen aren't gonna kill themselves." The Warlock made finger guns at Y/n with a click of his mouth, proceeding down the hall with a slight bounce in his walk.
Y/n watched him for a split second before turning to Shaxx, "You know, I could be your girl." She placed a check mark with her hand beneath her chin, smirking up at him.
Shaxx poked her forehead playfully, "Marcel would literally slaughter me, I wouldn't try anything on with you." He leaned in slowly, an inch away from her ear, "If you were mine I would." Y/n shuddered and giggled lightly, playfully pushing him away gently with her hand on his chest. He stood up straight and chuckled softly.
"Oh Y/n." Shaxx handed Y/n a small letter, she took his gently from his grasp and examined it, "Could you please take this to the Speaker. It's a list of all those Guardians that want to move forward from the Crucible, he'll be handling them from now instead of myself." Y/n nodded, "Right. I know where he is, I'll take it right to him."
Shaxx patted her head lightly and watched her turn, strolling up the stairs calmly, every guardian she passed, they eyed her. The word got around that she was staying in the Tower until her husband would wake up. They all knew who Marcel was, a very popular Titan that kicked complete ass in every battle. Y/n was extremely proud of her husband for his efforts, but she couldn't love him now, considering he was deeply comatosed. Y/n felt so alone and forsaken, she had no family left in fact, it broke her into so many pieces. Shaxx and Cayde were only her friends to lean on at times but she wanted someone to love, she wanted her children to be alive and well, she wanted her husband to hold her again. All of that was yanked away from her, the moment the Fallen attacked her home.
She wondered how on Earth she was able to stay to calm and not break down whenever Marcel or her kids were mentioned. Y/n was indeed a strong woman, she got it all from her father.
Her mother walked out for another man when Y/n was 6 and her father was the one who taught her how to be strong when things get hard. She promised to her father that she would forever go on and never give up no matter how difficult things turned.
Y/n slowly moved her way over the glass walkway, gazing up at the stunning ornament that moved about in all directions. She stared in awe, watching it move about.
"I heard about your arrival early this morning." Y/n turned to see the Speaker, his hands rested behind his back as he left the last step, stopping and staring into her orbs, "I wish I would've known those days ago when you came. I would've greeted you sooner." Y/n clutched onto the letter in her hands and looked up at the masked man.
"You're the Speaker..?" Y/n asked gently, shuffling on where she stood.
He strolled beside her, gazing down at her slightly nervous form.
