"come on (Y/N) bring your bags, then you can play all you want!" a mother called to her eight year old daughter
"coming mommy!" a little girl replied to her patient mother, who was waiting at the car, the family was moving to (h/t) away from (insert a city). she brought her bags one in which held her favorite toys, this bag also held her clothes, in her arms she held a circus prize, a beautiful teddy bear, lacking colour, except for a red bow tied around it's neck, , but she loved it, kinda beat up, but she would never stop loving it, she tossed it in the back seat so she wouldn't forget it
"may I go play now?" she asked hopeful to her mother.
"of course dear." her mother said happily, pinching the girls cheeks, causing the little 8 year old to flinch, she playfully hit away the hands, smiling her happy smile, she ran to the back to play with her friend "I'll call you when we are leaving! say goodbye to the house sweet pea!" he mother yelled hands cupped around her mouth.
she went to the back yard and called for her friend "Wacky Jackie!" she called for her best friend, if someone saw her they would think she was crazy, yelling out to nobody in an empty yard, but that yard was not empty for long, a clown seemed to pop into the girls face out of no where, a wide grin on his face, as sharp shark like teeth showed causing the girl to flinch, then laugh happily
"Hiya kiddo!" the monochrome clown said, he had jet black hair, black and white striped sleeves, feathers upon his shoulders, and to top it all off, a black and white swirled cone nose! the msot colour he had on him was his beautiful blue eyes. But those were beginning to pale. You always had wondered if that had anything to do with you
"Hi Jack! What do you want to do today?" she asked as a happy smile played on her face
"well, tag is ruled out, with your asthma and all, so.... how about a scavenger hunt?" he asked his hands clasped together
"A what?" she asked confused
"I do believe a scavenger hunt is where you have a list, with things on it, and you have to find all of them before the other competitors do!" he said civilized, which made the eight year old giggle.
"okay!" she said happily, with that the clown snapped his fingers and, BAM! two lists appeared out of no where! he handed her a list and kept one for him self
"okay my friend, on this list we have.... a rose, pine cone, purple feather, piece of candy. cotton candy, gumball, circus prize, mini Ferris wheel, and a red bow tie!" she looked at him
"That was a wonderful rhyme!" she said and then broke into a fit of laughter, he hit the girl on the shoulder lightly
"Thank you very much my friend!" he said happily, she looked at her list, he smile turned into a confused frown
"but none of these items can be found here" she said still confused
"well, then lets go to the-" he was cut off by the little girl
"The carnival!" she said and jumped into the shape of a star
"right o' kiddo!" he said picking the child and putting her on his shoulders, they almost immediately they teleported to laughing jacks circus, at least at the front gate, once they enter all colour will be drained, you had never questioned it, it just made it funner (screw you grammar Nazis!) you walked in holding jack's hand "okay kiddo, today the circus only has whats on the lists, and there is only one of each item so~ the one with the most items wins!" you smiled "3" he said
"2" you smiled and looked to him
"1" he looked to you
"GO!" you yelled startling the clown, you both ran to different directions

after about half an hour, you had a majority of items, all you needed was the Ferris wheel, and then you mother called, how did you know? jack said something about hearing your loved ones call for you, you clapped you hands, as jack showed you, and were teleported out, back in your yard, you ran to the front and got into the car, only then did you realize you forgot to say goodbye, to your only friend, he teleported to the driveway, and frowned, using his awesome powers, he communicated with you, using thought
'where are you going?' he asked
'to my new home, come on teleport before we're gone!' you thought worried
'I cant your too far!' he yelled in your thoughts
'well get closer!' you yelled to him
'i c-cant!' he said tears forming in yours and his eyes
'please jack!' you mentally screamed
'promise you'll never forget me (Y/N)!' he said, in case you left him
I' promise, i promise!' you said crying the smallest tears
'promise you'll come back for me!' he said you could tell he was crying
'i promise!' you cried as you left the neighborhood leaving jack standing in the middle of the road, crying
"And i wont forget you either" he said aloud teleporting back to his circus
one year passes, and you forgot your promise.
