Cidney

My cell phone alarm went off the moment midnight hit. I didn't want to stop what I was doing with my girlfriend in the guest bedroom, but I had to go check on Jonah. Lily was on top of me kissing my neck, "Wait. Bae, stop for one sec." She whined at the fact that she had to get off of me, but she did.

Pulling the cover over me, I reached for my phone and turned off the alarm.

I'm sure Jonah will be fine.

I turned back to Lily kissing her, then getting on top. She moaned, "Cid, don't you have to go check on Jonah?" I smiled at her, "He can wait."

The night went on for a couple more hours around 3AM, I heard a crash. Lily and I froze, "What was that?" my girlfriend asked.

It was quiet again, "I don't know." I got off Lily and began to get dress. She did the same.

I grabbed my keys of the night stand and began to walk down stairs. My keys had a taser on it, so I could protect myself.

When I walked down stairs into the kitchen with Lily close behind me. I saw that a clear glass cup was shattered on the floor and the faucet water was running. The lights were never turned on in the kitchen and I swear, if this place is haunted.

"What was that?" Lily grabbed on to me tightly.

Ouch.

There was a faint crying. Stepping over the glass we walk by the pantry where the crying was louder. We opened it, to see Jonah on the floor hugging his knees.

I could hear his scared breaths, "Who- Who are you? What do you want?" Lily let go of me, so I could inch closer toward the boy. I got on my knees in front of the boy, "Hey it's okay. Don't worry. It's me, Cidney. I'm your babysitter." I reached for his arm, but he moved really fast.

He stared past me rocking back and forth, "and who is that?" He said looking at my girl. "That's Lily. My girlfriend. She's helping me keep an eye on you."

Jonah quiet. "Why is he scared?" Lily asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"I woke up in complete darkness. I don't know where I am, and then I heard strange noises. At first I thought it was in my head."
He looked haunted.

"Actually that could have been us. Cidney and I were having a good time before we heard that crash." Lily chuckled.

Why? Why would she say that? Right now, to him. A little boy.

I ignored it.

"Come on Jonah; let's get you back in your bed." Jonah stared at me not reacting. "Hey Jonah did you hear me? I said let's go." He still sat there like a rock.

What? What is it. "Who's Jonah?" He asked. I looked at him disbelief. This is why I haven't babysat for this family for two months. "You. You're Jonah. Your mom, dad, and sister are out of town for the week, so I'm watching out for you. There now your all caught up."

After a those words I said, he still kind of sat there. I began to worry that I wasn't getting through to him, but then fortunately Jonah slowly nodded his head. "Okay." The words out as if he was still debating on if he believed me or not.

I guess he didn't considering he reached his hand out and loud me to help him up.

I began to walk him up the stairs when I heard a silent scream. Lily. I turned to my girlfriend slowly. "Dang it. I step on the glass. Bae, It really hurts. "

I sighed, "Um, just sit in that chair. I'll be right back after I tuck Jonah in bed okay?" She nodded and I walked Jonah back to his room.
