a girl. she was screaming. crying. not my name specifically, but for anyone. anyone who could help her. i
looked around, but saw no one in the long hall i stood in. she sounded so close. i wanted to help her, but---.

My eyes opened and I had stopped dreaming.

So tell me, why didn't the girl stop screaming?

                    Jonah.

It wasn't a dream. It wasn't a girl. It was Jonah. My eyes widened realizing my reality.

I nearly flew out of my bed.

Hurrying out of my bed is one of my super powers. It comes in handy when I'm running late for something.

A loud roar of  thunder interrupted my thoughts. Thunder and lighting always scared Jonah.

I followed the screaming into Jonah's room. My heart clenched watching him as he moved restlessly in his bed becoming caught up in his cover. Tears raced down his face as if he was filling up a pool.

It was as if his brain was telling at him to go into panic mode: throwing his hands around, kicking and screaming.

I rushed to get in bed with him. I tried to pull him in for a hug.

He resisted.

Yep and right then my broken in half heart felt like it had literally shattered into thousands of pieces.

He didn't know what was happening he just continued yelling.

I tried to calm him down, "Jonah. Jonah. Jonah. Look at me It's me. It's your sister. Please!" But I was just a stranger. He pushed me, "Get off! I don't know you! Where am I? I don't know you! " followed by his hands wailing around. We fought for another fifteen seconds, but I finally got my hands around him.

By that time I was crying too. "Shhhh, your with me. Save in my arms." I felt Jonah tightly squeeze me as he whispered," I'm sorry." loud enough for me to hear him.

What he was sorry for I didn't know? He did nothing wrong.

Thunder boomed loudly making Jonah jump a little. I held Jonah in my arms longer just praying for peace.

A few moments later my dad came peaking in. Jonah's head in my chest as if he were a baby. My dad stayed quiet. Didn't say a word. He just came sat next to us on the bed.
