Chapter 7

Keith walks out of the bathroom and sits down onto the couch with Abbie. "Hey Abbie? Want to go to the zoo with me and a friend of mine?" Keith asked. Abbie's eyes lit up like a light bulb. "YES!" Abbie screamed. "Well, get ready then." Keith said. Abbie smiled and ran upstairs to her room. Keith looked at his phone to see the time, 4:35. Abbie runs back down the stairs in a white, silk dress that Keith had bought her for her birthday. Her blonde hair deeply complements her pale skin and white dress, she really did resemble Keith in a way. But there were only a few differences from her and Keith, they were her green eyes, blonde hair, and her personality. Her personality was way different from his personality when he was her age. He was shy and rarely ever talked to anyone or had not even as much confidence as her when he was her age."I see you wearing the dress I got you for your birthday." Keith smiled. Abbie smiled back. "Yeah, I like it a lot, I feel like a princess. From now on, I'm princess Abegayle." Abbie voiced smiling immensely. He picked her up and spinned her around. "And I'm the bid bag dragon! Roar, I'm gonna eat you!" He snickered. She screamed and tried to get out of his arms but failed when he then tickled her until she was a giggling fit. 

Then there was knocking on the door. Keith set down the giggling mess that was Abbie. Keith walked over to the door and opened it. "Hey. Come in, take a seat." Keith welcomed Lance. Lance smiled and walked in. "Hey! Are you Keith's boyfriend?" Abbie asked. "ABBIE!" Keith yelled in embarrassment. "Heh, no, not yet." Lance whispered and winked at Abbie. Abbie giggled. "So, Abbie, my name is Lance and you are Abbie, am I right?" He asked playfully, picking her up and spinning around with her. Keith started to smirk and giggle. "Yeah. But right now I'm Princess Abegayle." Abbie giggled. Keith got his phone from the couch and walks towards Lance. "Ready to go." Keith said smiling. Lance smiled and put Abbie down, walking out the door with keith. "Lance! Save me from the dragon!" Abbie screamed running up to Lance and hugging his leg. Lance picked her up and put her up on his shoulders. Keith played along by acting like a dragon and 'roaring'. He ran up to Lance and tried to get Abbie. Lance then turned around and 'fought' off Keith. Eventually Lance won and Keith lost, everybody was laughing and enjoying themselves. 

After about 15 mins of walking, they finally got to the zoo. When they got into the zoo, they were greeted with a bunch of families going about they're business. Once they finally got admission in and got the peanuts, they we welcomed with loads of peacocks, lions roaring, and other animals making an arrangement of noises. They had only been walking around for about half an hour when the finally spotted the aquatics exhibit. "There it is! C'mon Keith, we have no time to spare! I wanna see the sharks!" Lance yelled excitedly. Lance started running while holding Abbie tighter so that she doesn't fall. Keith laughs and starts running too. They run for a minute more and reach the aquatics exhibit. "Wait Lance, do they have a hippo here?" Keith asked. "Yeah, want to go see that next?" Lance asked. Keith smiled. "Yeah." Keith answered. Setting Abbie, Lance, Keith, and Abbie then walked to the shark exhibit. "Oh my god! Guys! Look at them!" Lance yelled in excitement. Keith walked over with Abbie to see the sharks. Abbie started to cry. "Abbie? What's wrong?" Keith asked, squatting down to her level. 

"T-the shar-rks are sca-ary." She choked out with tears spilling down her cheeks. Keith picked her up and cradled her. "Ssh, it's ok." Keith cooed. Lance then walked behind Keith, so that he could face Abbie. Lance started making funny faces. Abbie started giggling. "Let's go see the Hippo's now." Lance announced. Most of the people around them were either awwing, or  making sour faces at the two boys. They walked over to the Hippo exhibit. They stayed there for about 15 mins, then walking to some other exhibits and talking, before leaving the zoo. 

"Hey, who's up for ice cream?" Lance asked. Abbie smiled and yelled yes. Keith just politely said yes. "Well then, we're going to the best ice cream parlor known to man." Lance announced. They had spent minutes talking and walking together to get to the parlor. They walked in and was met with a lady who only looked about early twenty's. Lance shot her finger guns. 'Why did he do that? He's probably not even gay, why did I even think that he would like me. But why does it hurt?' Keith thought, hurt. She rolled her eyes. "What can I get you boys today?" She asked. Keith looked up at the board and found a flavor he liked. Lance picked up Abbie so she could she the favors. "What do you want to get?" Lance asked. Abbie paused for a minute. "I want Mint Chocolate Chip please." Abbie asked. The lady got a little cup and put a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip in it. "I'll have Coffee in a cone please." Lance asked. "And I'll have Rocky road in a cone please." Keith asked. The lady got the rest of the ice cream and sent them off to pay. They payed and took a seat outside. "Hey Keith, want to try my ice cream?" Abbie asked Keith. "Sure." Keith agreed. 

Abbie took her spoon and put it into Keith mouth. "That's good, I'll have to get that next time." Keith suggested. "Lance, You wanna try some?" Abbie asked. "Uh, sure, let me go get another spoon." Lance agreed while getting up but being interrupted by a spoon entering his mouth. Keith blushed immensely, Lance doing the same. But Lance did indeed lick the spoon clean. Lance couldn't taste any trace of Keith but he wished he did. Keith turned his head away and continued eating his ice cream. After all that embarrassment, they finally went home. Lance had walked them home and was now standing at Keith's door. Lance was talking to Keith a bit until Abbie had sneaked around them, behind Lance, and pushed his lower back which resulted in Lance falling into Keith, lips making contact. Keith's face was full of surprise, just as Lance's was. "WHAT THE HELL! KEITH, GET YOUR ASS HERE RIGHT NOW!" Keith's stepmom yelled. Keith jumped at the sudden noise. His face soured. "Sorry, um... see you at school... I guess." Keith stuttered, pulling Abbie into the house. Lance frowned. "I'm so sorry, Keith. I really am." Lance apologized, hoping Keith would hear, knowing he wouldn't hear him, but hoped he did.
