He could hear it.

He could bear it.

He could see it.

His life would never be the same as before. The old, hot, humid air that was carrying his life's enthusiasm through the dirt was no longer there. The shivering cold night that made his blood dry up was turning to light, making his own soul shimmer. It was clear to him that he wasn't prince charming, but he believed that he was just himself. With his honest heart, he was sure that the painful problems would be washed away someday.

The colourful tune was decorating the midsummer air. She closed her eyes as the wind danced around her, slow and rich with the music that sang upon it. She wore a long, silky white dress that fluttered in time with her wavy brown hair. When the wind stopped its dance, she opened her eyes and turned her back around. Her heart faltered when she looked at the white classical grand piano in front of her. The bright colour of the piano reflected the dazzling light from the sun. She walked towards the piano. Drawn to the seas of tune, she ran her fingers over the keys.

Her soul was intertwined with the music as she pressed note by note, creating a regal harmony. Slowly it guided her to her own imaginary world where stars were singing and the moon was dancing. Twirling; trembling; fluttering; an excitement without limit created an unbreakable bond between both music and her.

As her hands enjoyed the excitement, her sight was averted to the widow where she noticed colourful balloons released to the sky. Her body moved on its own as her mind was hypnotized by that beautiful phenomenon. She opened the door, heart feeling as though it was fluttering to the ground. Step by step, she walked accross the green meadow that seemed to wave at her. The cool breezing air whispered to her ear, "He is waiting for you under the big oak tree" again and again. She couldn't help but believe the cool breezing air.

Again, she saw the balloons released into the sky from the big oak tree. This time, her radiance was beating throughout her body. A boy stood in front of her. His mouth curved into a smile, reflecting in his clear, blue eyes. Their agitated hearts began beating faster when they noticed each other.

Step by step, they closed the infinite distance between them. The mysteries of the world were somehow solved as they engraved the other's smile into their hearts.

"Happy birthday Eileen." An unfamiliar voice spoke when they were close together. It was him. His thin lips were the one who moved slowly.

It was clear that time kept on going, but as their gazes tightened up, their firm and pure feelings stopped everything and froze in the cool air.

There was a small distance separating both youths from each other. Even though they weren't touching each other, just by their gaze, warmth crept into their hearts, lulled their own flaws.

His hand slipped through his jacket pocket, taking a silver box out. Then, his cold fingers pried apart the edges of the box, revealing a pair of necklaces inside it. If both were combined, it would become a ring.

"Take it Eileen," His soft voice echoed as the wind blew between them. "That's for your birthday."

With hesitation she took the sparkling golden necklace, while he took the silver one. Together, it made a combination of gold and silver ring. A smile curved her lips as she wore the necklace around her neck. It was perfect on her. Her brown hair turned to gold as it reflected the rays of the sun, and the necklace resting around her neck was sparkling brightly. All of her disabilities were covered by her pure soul that was truly honest and vivid.

"Do you know I wish to hear your clear, fluttering voice every day?" his hand slipped the box back to his pocket. "But I guess I don't need to do that anymore." His gaze was locking her eyes so that she couldn't look anywhere else except him. Her eyes showed her honest feelings now. She was confused. Her eyes were frowning as her soul kept on questioning him. Why?
