I dont understand, why is Brett here?
I quickly hide behind the steps. I don’t hear Bretts voice anymore so I walk down the steps.
Uncle Phil sent him outside to the back patio.
Well, here I go, I’m gonna go figure out why and how on earth Brett got here.
I open the door to the back patio and sit in the chair across from Brett at the dining set.
The weird thing is, I never told him where I was staying or my number. This is so weird.
I simply ask him what he is doing here. He says he wanted to surprise me and take me out, I awkwardly tell him that I already have plans. He looks to the ground upset while saying, " Oh, umm, ok. I understand. Well maybe some other time." "Yeah, i'm sorry. Raincheck?" He says yeah and I show him the door.
I turn around, and great, Phil and Mac are staring at me.
Jackson should be here any minute, I dont have time to explain. So I just say, "I met him while shopping, and I didnt give him my number or tell him where I was staying. Sorry, I dont how he figured it out."
*beep, vibrate, beep* Its from Jackson, he says hes out front.
Hmmm I wonder if he will be driving? I walk out front and the door is open for me, awwww.
I notice Jackson isn’t driving and is sitting in the backseat so I slide in next to him.
I ask him how far away Colins is and he tells me its 20 minutes. Oh God, 20 minutes in the car with Jackson, I dont know if I should be happy or upset. I mean I dont want it to be awkward silence for 20 minutes.
I try to think of something funny and clever to say. But of course, I cant think of anything, so I just ask him who will be at the party. He tries to be funny and says, "I'm hoping people". "Haha, yeah, me too."
He then asks what time I have to be home, so I say midnight.
We pull up Colins driveway and it looks Project X.
This is either going to be the best night of my life or the most awkward. I realize the only person I know is Jackson, and I only know a little bit about him.
Who am I going to talk to?
Will anybody talk to me?
Should I stay by Jackson the whole time?
All these questions are going through my head as we enter the front door, well wish me luck(:
