Summercamp

Chapter 5

You walk towards the meeting point. It is in the center of the whole camp area, behind the restaurant, full with pick nick benches. You can't really call it an restaurant, considering it is just full with tables and chairs and you get the food the kitchen makes. "Ladies and gentleman, it's time for our first activity" Oliver speaks, you recognize him because of his long curly hair in a knot. 'He seems a little older, around 25?' you think. "With your groups and mentor, you'll have a hike trough the woods and explore the area, so grab a bottle of water over here" he says while he points at a table full of water bottles "and meet your mentor, have fun."
"Are we going to be active straight away?" Meghan says laughing while she jumps off the table you and her were sitting on." "Wtf, why would we go for a walk" you hear someone nagging about it. You turn around and look see a girl, whose face looks like she saw something nasty. "How childish, how old are we, 12?" she continued. "Uhu" a girl next to her nodded a little insecure. "Ugh, you can see she's such a follower" Meghan whispers to you when you start to walk again. "I'm not going" the girl continues. For some reason you got instantly irritated. "Excuse me, but you know where you signed up for right?" The girl looks at you. "What?" she answered with a slight arrogant tone. "The fact that this will be an active and full of outside activities summer camp." you responded. "First of all, like I said, I'm not 12 years old and second of all who are you to talk to me like that?" You can feel that you're getting angry but, you try to stay calm with her. "Just go Phoebe" Meghan whispers "don't put your energy in her." "I don't want to be rude to you, but I think the camp leaders did a lot to create a fun summer camp for us and I think you should appreciate that more." You turn around and want to walk away with Meghan. "Don't even try to walk away from me now" she yells. You want to turn around when you feel two big hands on your shoulders softly pushing you forwards away from the girl. "Come on" a low voice says.
After a few seconds, the boy let go of your shoulders. With one hand he went down from your upper back to your lower back and walked besides you. You look to your right, it's Grayson. "Not worth it" he says. You instantly felt bad. "I didn't want to pick a fight or be mean to hear Grayson" you quickly says. "Don't worry" he laughs and let go of your back "you weren't doing any of that." Grayson walks with both of you towards your cabin. "Do you have everything?" he asks. Zoë, Britt and Lynn were also in the cabin and the five of you and the
five girls from the cabin besides you came out
of there cabins. You follow Grayson to the woods. "Oh, I forgot my water bottle inside" you yell. "We'll wait at the beginning of the woods!" Grayson shouts towards you when you walk back fast.
