Chapter 12

You follow Grayson a little further to the edge of the sand line, where the woods start again and he sits down in the sand in a shadow, it is hot. You sit next to him. You shove your feet in the sand and play a bit with it and make circles in the sand with your finger. It is silent for a second when you look to your right, towards Grayson. He gives you a cute smile, you smile back and he looks away to the sand, still smiling."Listen" he starts "I didn't want to be rude by walking away so quickly yesterday." "It's okay" you respond. "No, I seemed rude, it is just I needed to watch Ethan." You look at him with a questioning face, which made him continue. "So, you know about the drinking problems Ethan had half a year ago" he continues, you nod showing that you're listening "but when I saw him last night, he was drinking again, and he hasn't done that anymore since then. I just needed to be sure he was okay." You smile "I understand, don't worry" you say "and did he end up okay?" "Yes, he actually did, but he was angry with me back in our cabin." "Why?" you ask. "Because he says he doesn't need a babysitter. But after a few minutes he appreciated that I did that, but he said he would be careful and not fall back in old patterns again" Grayson says "so the only thing I can do now is believing him." You are silent for a second. "You're sweet" you say. He smiles bright towards you. You laugh. "Are you always like that?" you ask playfully. "What?" he asks "Sweet." He looks at you, while he stands up to go back, because the break has ended, and he grins towards you with a playful look in his eyes, raising his eyebrows up and down. He turns around and walks back as you walk to another activity, but you can't hide the smile inside of you. "Something is happening between the two of you" Meghan immediately speaks to you as she sees you. "What?" you try to hide it. "Don't try me Phoebe" you laugh, and give her a smirk. "Omg" she laughs as the two of you walk towards your activity.

Your group was the best and you received two drink cards. You fresh up a bit after the activities and take a second shower for the day. You walk out of the shower building when you look to the right, into the boys side. At the sink, there is Ethan who came out of the shower. drying his wet hair with a towel, only wearing his red shorts. He looks towards you "Hi" he says 'Oops' you think 'I look like an idiot standing here' "Hi Eth" you say as he walks outside, grabbing his black shirt from the counter and puts it on while he walks towards you. "How are you?" he asks. "I'm fine what about you?" you ask back while the both of you start walking. You have a conversation when you out of sudden end up at Ethan's cabin, in the middle of your conversation. "You want to come in for a second?" he asks. You look at his cabin 'Would that not be strange?' you think, but Ethans already opens up the cabin and you follow. It only has 2 beds in it. You stand just over the doorstep, leaning against the door. "So you are sharing this with Gray, aren't you?" He nods "Yes" while he grabs some stuff. Your eyes go around their cabin. It does look like a boys room. Their are clothes laying around and one bed is messy, one is made up. Ethan walks towards the bed that has all clothes and stuff on top of it and take some stuff. 'That doesn't surprise me' you think. "Hey Phoebe" he starts. "Thanks for talking to me yesterday, it does feel good to talk to someone" he looks at you and smiles. "Of course Ethan, you can always talk to me" you answer "And you can to me" he says. You laugh. "You know, I understand Grayson wants to keep an eye on me, considering the past, but I can handle it now, I just wanted to tell you." You think about what Grayson told you this afternoon "All we can do is believe you, and don't worry Grayson does" you say. "And you?" he asks. "Of course, but it is about you and Grayson" he smiles.
"Do you like Grayson?" he asks very abruptly, which made you petrified for a second. He noticed that you were quiet and looks at you and laughs "Never mind I can see the answer." "No, wait what" you say "I didn't say anything, don't do that" you continue. But you start laughing softly, trying to hide your cheeks turning red. He looks at you and stand still, he gives you a look that says 'Come on.' You laugh. "Okay, I think he is cute, but I am not saying I like him" you say. "No, you just don't put it in words, but I can see it all over the two of you, for example this afternoon when you were sitting together" he says "I think he likes you back." You try to hide your smile by looking away "Just stop Ethan" you laugh. "Okay okay" he says putting his hands in the air. Then, you feel a hand on your lower back and someone passing you through the door entrance. "Hey" Grayson says with a cute smile, looking at you while he walks in. "Hey"?you and Ethan say. You look at your watch. "I am going to get ready for dinner" you say. "See you tonight at the bonfire?" Grayson asks. "Oh yes definitely" you say "I didn't know there would be one." "Read your programme" Ethan jokes. "Yes, yes I need to do that" you say laughing as you walk away.
Meghan is in your cabin. "There is a bonfire tonight" you say. "Yes, I know" she says. "Nice and chill way to celebrate your birthday" she says. You smile "Yes it is." Meghan looks at you "Maybe Grayson gives you a nice birthday present" she laughs and smirks at you. You laugh and throw a pillow towards her head "Just shut up." You start thinking about it. 'I haven't told them about my birthday yet. And also.. I think I do like Grayson.. a lot.'
