|Erica's POV|

Whale

Adrian's back to school.

Salone's a bigger bitch than before.

Here's how it all went down.

I walked into Chinese as usual, sat in my regular seat as usual.

It was a normal day. As usual.

Then Adrian walked in, with Salone practically sewn to his shoulder.

"Oh Adrian, I was so worried. I thought you would have died. I don't know what I would have done without you." She was totally gawking over him. She kissed his shoulder, jaw, cheek. What ever she could get her lips on. It was like a total 180° turn around from what I saw at the hospital last week.

BULLSHIT!! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN THE HOSPITAL!!!!

I rolled my eyes and so did Adrian. He tried to pry her off by her great big forehead but she wouldn't budge. She clung to his arm like a lost puppy clinging to the first person it sees.

He walked to his usual desk two rows ahead of me and one row away (we got a new seating chart a few weeks after Adrian got here) and Salone plopped down into his lap. The space between the chair and the desk is too slim for her to fit. So she practically sat on the table.

She had the perfect line of sight to stare at me and glare at me as she stroked Adrian's hair and run her fingers through it and kiss his forehead and touch his chest. It was revolting.

She stared at me and fondled him for like 4 minutes straight before Adrian pushed her off of him and told her to leave.

"Salone. Class is about to start. You need to leave." He sounded VERY annoyed.

But she was beyond reluctant to leave.

"Oh but Adrian, the teacher isn't here yet and I'm dying for-"

"Dying for another detention Ms." Mr. Huang cut her off.

He was standing at the front of the class, looking down at some papers on his desk.

"I'd like to teach my class on the language and culture of the country of China, not how to give detentions. Get out of my class room." Mr. Huang takes nobody's shit.

Salone scoffed at him and looked back at Adrian.

"I'll be getting back to you. Don't worry." She said. Then she winked at him and walked off and out of the room while she was exaggerating the "movement" of her "hips" . But not before she glared at me again.

"Now that that's over. Everyone take your seats." Said Mr. Huang.

Adrian didn't sit in his usual seat, away from me. He sat next to me. I thought Mr. Huang would have said something about it because he's a stickler for that stuff, but he didn't.

"Okay class. We shall begin our class with finishing to our bell work. Get to it." Me. Huang stated.

I looked over at Adrian, who was staring at me.

"Uh, I thought I'd sit over here to say sorry for Salone earlier. She can be quite the bitch sometimes. And a whore." He said. He seemed really nervous and shy. Another 180° turn from his usual persona. He seemed to be much more shy than usual.

I smiled as a sign of accepting his apology. I'm not one to forgive someone easily, but I'll forgive him. This one time.

We sat in silence doing out bell work when he asked me, "Wanna come over today?"

It was a totally bold move but he was pretty bold already.

"To, uh. Start the project. Or hangout. Or both."

I smiled at his very cute shyness. He was blushing so hard that his face went from his usual golden-ish white color to a fresh tomato color. His shyness never fails to make me smile.

"Sure." Was all I could say.

He smiled too and said,"Uh, cool. Meet me by the south entrance and we'll walk to my place. I don't live too far away. Close enough to walk."

I smiled and nodded but then I thought.

What if Salone is putting him up to this?

Then I straight up asked him, "Is Salone putting you up to this? Tell me the truth." That was a bold move for me.

He looked shocked and sort of sad.

"No," he said. "Salone has nothing to do with this. You're my biology partner. We need to do this project. That's all. I swear."

"Okay." I do trust Adrian. Not as much as I trust Stephanie, but I trust him enough to feel like Salone won't be there to sabotage or humiliate me. But I'm honestly not sure if he's telling the truth.

I should bring Stephanie to keep guard and make sure Salone doesn't pop up and try to do something.
