Maybe This Time

Chapter 8

Chanyeol's POV

I woke up from my nap and started to smell coffee nearby. I look to my side to see theres a cup of coffee with my name on it as well as a pastry on the side on a napkin. I look around to see the rest of the guys still sleeping. I shake each of them individually to wake up. And I see them all with the same cup of coffee and pastry as I did but they had their names on the cups instead.

"Thank you for the coffee and pastry Chanyeol" Chen says

"I didn't get them for us, I just woke up not too long ago"

"You're right, your hand writing is too ugly to be this pretty" Kai says

We all laugh in unison. We saw our stage manager and assumed it was him who got it for us, but he denies and says it was Jisoo who got everyone, even the staff coffee and pastries.

"Dang, she's very thoughtful, she wasn't thinking just about us but everyone here" Xiumin says

"Wow, she's sounds too perfect to be true" Baekhyun says

"That's Jisoo for you, she always thought about others before herself" Lay says

"Uhh excuse me, do you know where Jisoo is now?" I ask the stage manager

"She was walking around the venue last I saw her. By the way, we start rehearsal in about 15 minutes" he says

I decided to go and walk around the venue with the guys. We started to hear "Never Enough" from the Greatest Showman movie. We started to sing with the song believing that it was just playing on a loud stereo but as we walked farther, we heard an actual piano playing and someone singing beautifully"

We started to frantically look all over the place and heard it coming from one of the practice rooms. I look in to see Jisoo, singing and playing the piano at the same time.

"You never told me that you play the piano and better yet you can sing?" I say shocked

She gets up from the piano bench and apologizes.

"i'm sorry, you weren't supposed to see that" she says shyly

"No, don't be you sing very beautifully" Suho says

"What are you guys doing here? Don't you guys have practice?" She asks

"We wanted to thank you for the coffee and the pastries" Chen says

"Ohhh, that's no problem, you all look exhausted and thought you guys needed a little boost" she says

"Can you play that song for us again?" I ask

"Next time, I promise. And besides you all have practice right now" she says pushing us out the door.

We look at the clock and it was 10:13, their managers will be pissed if we show up late. We all start to run towards the stage and I look behind to see Jisoo still standing outside the practice room. But I had no time to go get her, we had to get to the stage right away.

Jisoo's POV

I see all the boys running down the hall but I didn't follow after them, all I could think about was the piano and how much I missed touching those piano keys and singing my heart out.

"It was a stupid dream, and it still is" I say as I close the piano. I walk out of the practice room and hear Kyungsoo singing Lucky One. I search for the sound and I end up in the audience seating area. I decide to stay there and watch the boys from there. They practiced for about 2 hours. They always spotted me and kept waving me. I kept using my flashlight on my phone to wave side to side whenever they played a slow song.
