I'd just finished putting away my dolls, when two of the queens men barged in. My mother ran towards my sister and I, into the kitchen, telling us to go hide.

"Ace, take your sister and hide in the closet in your room."

"Now!" She hissed when she saw me planted on the floor staring at the Knights.

I grabbed my sister and told her exactly what my mom said to me, except I didn't go with her.

I hid under the table, the cloth hiding me from view.

"Where is he? We know he's not dead!" One of the Knights boomed out.

He grabbed my mom by the neck, closing off her source of air. She reached towards a pan near and brought it around and smacked the knight on the head.

He let go of her throat immediately and groaned in pain as he crumpled to the ground.

My mother had her hand wrapped around her throat, trying to catch her breath.

She didn't have much time before the other knight came around with his baton and struck her in the back with it.

There was a crack as she screamed out in pain, but didn't give up.

"You are never," she spits out blood, "going to find him. Look all you want, but he's gone. He's dead."

"Helena! You will tell us where your husband is, or your daughter, along with you, will pay for him." The first knight roared this out, with the most evil sneer on his face.

All the blood left my mothers face, leaving a white ghost behind. She started to shake as she said, " I told you. He's dead. And he isn't coming back!"

She threw a kick and the knights groin and he doubled over, the second knight grabbed her ankles while she tried to run away. She fell face first into a nail sticking out of the floor.

I watched as the blood pooled around my mothers face. I listened as her blood curdling scream rang out through the house. I ran out from under the table to get to my sister.

She was all I have left, I would not let the knights find her.

I wait till the right moment to run out from under the table, and I choose to do it when the knights are talking about whether or not they should leave my mothers body on the ground.

I shoot out from under the table, and run towards the closet and look for my sister, but can't find her.

Suddenly I hear the knights laugh and not the casual kind and I run back into the kitchen  and see something in the bigger knights arms.

It's my sister.

And she's not moving.
