Finds you: Mr. Gold

Mr. Gold and Belle were walking through Storybrooke. They had nothing else to do, and Granny's had a killer pie that was just calling their names. As they walked through the small town, Mr. Gold picked up on a childs whine.

"Ah, y'know what, Belle? How about you go ahead. I have something to do." He said as he opened the door for her.

"What? Are you sure?" She asked.

Mr. Gold nodded. "Yeah, yeah, it's nothing really. Ill be back soon."

"Okay." Belle agreed, but Gold was already gone.

He walked to the alley he heard the sound from and stepped in. A small child was lying in the filth of the dirt, and Gold picked her up.

You stared at him with wide golden eyes. He smiled and wiped a clump of mud from your cheek. You grabbed his finger quickly and put it in your mouth.

"Well, you are adorable. Too bad you're out here on your own, and if Belle wouldnt kill me for leaving you, I wouldn't be here."

But even he knew that a small bit of tenderness was left for you, and that was the real reason he saved you. Because everyone deserved a second chance. Even him.

And maybe you were his second chance.
