It was odd. The feeling I had before I opened my eyes. It was a feeling of mass fright and motion sickness. The thing was though, I had no memory of anything. Nothing at all. Except my name. Tilly. Once my head stopped it's spinning I opened my eyes only to reveal darkness. Nothing but darkness. I tried to stand up but I lost my balance and fell down to the ground, or was this even ground? No, it wasn't, and that wasn't just it, wherever I was, it was moving, at an increasing speed, up. Once that hit me in the head I scurried to a corner and pulled my legs up to my chest.
Yes, I was scared. But I wanted to know what was gonna happen. So I waited. For what felt like forever I sat there, waiting for the motion to stop, soon enough, it did. With a bang, and a crash, and a few squeaks. Trying to scoot into my little corner more, I squeezed my legs tighter to my chest. I heard voices. From outside this room I was in. Suddenly, a lid opened and light flooded in. I shielded my eyes from the brightness and tried to scoot closer into my corner, which at the time I thought it was possible but it wasn't. I was as scooted as you could get.
The voices were outside. Male. All male. I heard one distinct statement saying, "What in the bloody hell?" It was an accent. I lifted my head and looked up, seeing male teenagers surrounding me. Staring down at me. All boys, not one girl. And they all seemed to be teenagers. Which made me think, how old was I?
After a few minutes of them staring, and me staring back, one blonde one spoke up in an accent, "Why are you Shanks just standing there? Help her out!" I think he was the one who whispered first. He hopped into the box, but I scurried away. It seemed to make him smile. "Don't be afraid, we won't hurt you," he held out his hand for me to take. "My name's Newt."
