Heavy choked-breaths were heard from down the hall when Arianna tip-toed up the stairs, trying to conceal herself from Liz. The damage to her arm had set her back, but nothing would stop her.
Liz was wounded- possibly even fatally if she had hit a main vein or artery. Her grin returned at the thought of that - Liz collapsing with a pool of blood surrounding her.
The adrenaline started pumping through Arianna's veins again, making her legs heavy with the feeling. Nothing was a setback anymore, though.
Ever so slowly, Arianna walked down the hall, creating as little noise as she could as possible. She unfolded the knives, now ready for her to use against Liz.
With her back to the bedroom door, she gave a silent prayer once more and took a breath. She could do this, just as she had done before.
Arianna slowly turned the door handle. Liz prepared herself mentally on the other side of the door - the bloody knife in her hand. The wound was still oozing colour, but Liz had no other option to help her survive.
The door quietly creaked. Buckets of sweat poured down Liz's face, her blonde hair sticking to her skin as a hand slowly appeared from the other side. Arianna was hoping that Liz had passed out from the trauma and blood loss, making it an easy cleanup for her.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
A stuttered war cry erupted from Liz's chest as she charged at Arianna, knife pointed forward.
Arianna slammed the door close, back slamming into the wall as the knife in her hand broke through the glass on the door, Liz stumbling through the broken glass cutting herself.Arianna rushed towards Liz as she was on the ground. Her hand grabbed a handful of the Liz's blonde hair and yanked her up, a cry of pain tearing through her throat. The hair slipped out of her hand, sending her to the floor. Arianna then pinned her down, a knee or hand per limb.
Laughter and tears of excitement poured out of her eyes and bubbled out of her mouth as she looked down on Liz, a look of fear etched permanently into her face and eyes.
"I gotta say," Arianna started, the cheery tone surprising the victim beneath her arms. "you were definitely the most fun I've had in a while! Thank you for that, most people are just too shocked to do anything. But here," she raised her bandaged arm slightly, but not enough to let Liz jump on her, "you actually did some damage! Congrats, it'll be the last hurrah you'll have on this planet." She gave a shrug.
"P-please... don't..." Liz whimpered out. By now her hair was matted to the ground from her tears, shattered glass pieces spread around her hall pricking her scalp, drawing trace amounts of blood to the ground.
"Sorry bud, it sucks that you were the next one on my list. Better luck next time." She said with a lopsided grin. Liz wasn't feeling the joyous mood that Arianna was though.
Arianna glanced to her side, noticing her box of razors. A larger grin spread across her face as the sight of the razors coursed endorphins through her veins, to her brain.
"Thanks for bringing them up here. Thought I lost 'em. Let's make this quick, shall we?"
