The day when everything went wrong was when you weren't beside me.

I remember I was sitting in the living room reading a book in complete silence while you were getting take-out for us to eat that night.

It was around six in the evening when I heard loud footsteps outside the front door.

I had been startled by the sudden noise but, figured it was maybe you or the neighbors next door.

I had stood up from the sofa and walked to the front door, without checking through the peep hole, I opened the door wide open.

There were four of them.

They were all dressed in black and I couldn't see their faces.

They all had weapons.

Guns. Knives. You name it, they had it.

I got frightened and tried to shut the door but, I was too slow.

They barged through and pushed me to the ground harshly making me wince in pain.

One of them, the tallest and most buff one, stood above me looking down upon me shaking of fright.

I could hear Max our puppy barking from outside on the balcony.

Everything went by so fast I didn't have enough time to even realize what exactly was going on.

I was then picked up and taken out of the apartment building but, before I could figure out where they were taking me I was knocked out when my head was slammed against the wall.

Then everything went black like a snap of a finger.
