Y/N's POV

I knew something was wrong when you didn't answer the phone when I was stuck in traffic.

I was going to call you to tell you I was going to be a little late home but, you never picked up the phone.

I brushed it off thinking you were probably busy or your phone had died.

I dragged myself out of the parking lot and up the flights of stairs to my apartment since the elevator wasn't working anymore.

As I was walking down the hall, fishing my keys out of my pocket, I could hear Max our dog barking loudly.

I scrunched my eyebrows getting confused since he never barks unless there's a new guest he's unfamiliar with.

Then that's when it clicked.

I rushed down the hall to find the door open and Max scratching at the sliding glass door.

You, were no where to be seen.
