Chapter Five

~Eren's POV~

"So you did kill them, I assume." Levi said without emotion.

"No I didn't actually, but I was technically the reason why they died. They made a suicide pact."

"Wow, I'm sorry!" Hange interrupted with tearing coming from her eyes.

This lady literally sacrificed her eye to catch me, and she's crying from a dumb story she knows nothing about. Annoying.

"Don't be sorry, I could care less. In the old town I lived in, some knew I was a neko and thought poorly of my entire family. My parents were weak and couldn't handle the pressure so they killed themselves. I don't know why they didn't just kill me, but hey whatever. I left when I has in junior high or something and never went back there. I've just done homeschooling now."

"WANNA LIVE WITH ME?" Hange screamed.

"Shut up, shitty glasses, he's staying with me. My house here is a lot better than yours anyways. I even have a guest room at the end of the hallway."

"I'm not living with you."

"Then you can live with Hange and she's dissect you and put your body up for display after she's done studying you."

Shit, they backed me into a corner. But if I live with Levi, I can sleep and eat here too. Plus I'd hate to go back home with all those cops around the crime scene. That'd be way more annoying that Hange.

"I'll live with Levi."

"AWW. You don't like me?!" Hange plead.

"No I don't actually."

Levi chuckled a bit, but stopped as Hange looked at her watch.

"It's 11:23pm Levi. If Eren isn't coming home with me then I'm leaving now, good luck with your new kitten!"

With that, Hange ran downstairs and I heard her collect her things. The door slammed shut and it was now just Levi and I.

"You sleep in the guest room okay?" Levi growled.

"Okay, um.. what's gonna happen tomorrow?"

"You're gonna register for school tomorrow. You'll come to Sina High School or SHS as a senior. I work there as a teacher so I'll bring you."

"Why do I have to go to school?"

"Because I don't know what you'll do for the seven hours I'm not at home."

"Fine."

"Now go to bed."

"Fine."

Levi cut the ties off my hand and headed towards the guest room practically half naked. I opened the room and it was a light grey color, with another queen sized bed directly to the left, a small desk and dresser against the opposite wall and a closet to the left.

Without hesitation, I plopped myself down against the bed and fell asleep right away.

-time skip-

"Wake up brat."

"Go away."

"Time for school, get up, Hange dropped some clothes off for you. I already called the principal of SHS—the school you're going to—and told them you're coming. They have a schedule ready for you and all. So you'll just go the main office and pick it up. The school is like any other American high school. So don't mess this up for yourself." Levi lectured to me.

He dropped a sack of clothes on the ground and left, "Get changed or you're missing breakfast."

I groaned as I rolled over falling off the bed and searching in the bag. I pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans, a maroon champion sweatshirt, and checkered vans. Looking in the mirror of the dresser, I was shocked. I practically turned pale, I haven't seen myself in like three years in human form. My face...damn. I was slim, but not scrawny, decent jawline, and my eyes... holy shit. They were like the ocean. Mainly green with had speckles of yellow within them. My hair was a mess, but I wasn't worried about that. I honestly liked the light brown color.

While admiring my beauty, Levi barged in and screamed, "Stop jacking off and get your ass downstairs!"

"AHH FINE."

"Hmm...I like your style."

"Thanks, when I was in cat form and I saw people walking around, I liked this style the most."

"Okay whatever, you missed breakfast, there's a black backpack in the closest, grab it and come downstairs. I have school supplies for you too."

"Thanks. I'm coming."

I grabbed the bag and headed down stairs and there was like three notebooks, a binder, a calculator, and pencils scattered across the island table. I'd put everything in my bag and followed Levi outside. He looked really good actually, he had a suit on with a purple tie.

"Is that a black..."

"Tesla, yes, now get you tight ass in here or we're gonna be late."

"Tight ass?"

"Skinny jeans, you're wearing skinny jeans."

"So you noticed my ass?"

He didn't reply, he just looked at me with a straight face and looked at the road as we drove out his driveway. School was only about an eight minute drive away, not bad. But the car ride was silent. We pulled in the school's parking lot and pulled into the parking space 67. Levi and I both got out the car and students had already begun walking in. They all looked...too happy. It's like 7:05am, what the fuck.

Levi began to walk and I followed him.

"Hey Levi? Can you show me where the main office is?"

"Yea sur-"

He just stopped and stared at me. Which was kinda creepy.

"What... Levi?"

"Eren. Your ears. Put them away. Then I'll lead you."

"Shit, I forgot."

Within seconds, both ears and tails vanished and Levi walked in with me following behind once again. We entered the main office and Levi talked with the lady behind the desk.

"Eren, she'll take care of you."

"Huh? Wai-" But before I could finish, he was out the door.
