Lunch I sat with Marissa and Austin. I didn't eat though. The lunch smelled, and looked gross.

"So what are you doing after school today?" said Marissa. I looked up and she was looking at me. The two girls in front of me looked up and smiled. I didn't bother turning around though.

"Not much. Why?"

They both grew silent. I turned around and saw him. My father. Well he lost that role after what he did.

"What are you doing here?" he yelled. the cafeteria was staring and it was silent. I couldn't speak.

"You were never supposed to leave England, yet you did." his voice got louder with every word coming out. "Robert, go away." I whispered. His gaze never left mine.

"Your just a little bitch!" he yelled. He grabbed my shoulders and pushed me down. He grabbed my arm and pulled me up off the ground. His hand held my arm and he squeezed it. Hard. he pulled me outside where it was snowing out. He slapped me. Once. Twice. Three times. He hit my nose and it started to bleed. Eden ran outside and pushed him off of me. Robert tried to fight him but the school police came outside and put him in the back of the car handcuffed. I ran inside and to my locker. Eden followed me.

"Are you okay?" his face was close to mine.

"Yes I'm fine."

He was silently standing there as I got my stuff in my backpack and started walking away.

"Do you want a ride home?" he asked.

"That would be lovely thank you very much."

"No problem."

We started walking out, but something made me tingle. He grabbed my hand. He held it. Until we got to the car.

"So, who was he?"

"My dad. He... uh..."

"It's ok you don't have to tell me if you don't want to Amanda."

"Thanks." I stared out the window but still told him the directions to my house.

"Would you like to come in?" I asked as we walked to my front door.

"Uh, sure." he said with a big smile.
