Why was Robert with him?! None of this made sense.
"Robert?" I questioned.
"The police thought that if you had a 'protecting father' to bring me to your house, then i'd be okay." He put air quotes around protecting father. Ha. Sure, he was protecting. If protecting a bottle of Vodka counted.
"Leave Robert, we are fine now." He stepped in front of me but I pushed him back. after that, he turned around and got into his Honda and drove off.
"Kaleb. Oh my gosh I missed you so much!" I exclaimed wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I missed you too babe."
We stood there for a while in each others arms. Then Kaleb drew back and asked me where he'd be sleeping. I showed new room and helped carry his things up the steep stairs.
