i opened the door with hayden by my side.

"special delivery to annie leblanc."

the boy said, holding a box out to me.

"oh...um, thank you."

i told him, taking the box.

he smiled at me before walking back to his car and driving away, without a word.

i smiled as hayden and i walked up the stairs and went into my bedroom.

i set the box on my lap and stared at it in awe.

"imma use the bathroom."

hayden told me.

"okay."

i told him as he walked into the bathroom.

i carefully read the packaging.

'to: annie from: daddy'

confused, i pulled the top of the box open.

there was a tag on the top.

i had an idea of who this was from now.

i set the tag next to me and pulled up the tissue paper.

i saw black cloth, so i pulled it out.

once i realized what it was, i freaked out a bit.

a black, see- through, lingerie.

i heard ghe bathroom door open so i threw the lingerie back into the box and slid it under my bed.

hayden came in and sat next to me.

i looked down, fidgeting with my fingers.

that so called 'gift' scared me.

it shows me what he's planning.

"what was it?"

"it was nothing."

i told him, trying my best to hide my feelings.

"you just don't know how to lie to me. what was it?"

i sighed.

"i don't want to show you..."

"it's okay annie, i'm not gonna use it against you."

"it's from austin..."

i started.
