Last days of summer.
Jimin is well-aware that the break is almost over but he Jungkook and him haven't bonded yet as the younger boy promised after he has bugged him for almost half a day. He knows Jungkook doesn't like him that much but he's positive he'll come to like him because they were childhood friends after all.
He decided to make the first move once again.
If Jimin deserves any recognition, it probably is about being patient. Jungkook replied because he got nothing better to do than kill time as usual inside his room.
Jimin never expected an ok answer from Jungkook because he always gets a no. Yes, he do hopes a lot that someday Jungkook would see him as more than just a schoolmate. His first goal is to make Jungkook see him as a friend, and maybe, eventually as someone more than just a friend. He's keeping his hopes high. After all, this might kickstart their budding love story. Who knows right?Of course, for Jimin it's not just a simple hang out. It's a date. This means he must dress up. He knew Jungkook loves black. He'd turn his closet upside down if he could just to match Jungkook's black set but he couldn't find any. All he had was pink, light pink, baby pink, dark pink. His laundry basket is pilling up and all he's left with is every shade of pink he swore he'd wear least when this very day comes.
And so Jimin was late because he had to consult his bestfriend Tae for everything before going down to the lobby. And of course, he could not not Tweet this very moment.
Jungkook, wearing black as usual. He was at the lobby waiting for Jimin. They are neighbors, and actually they live across each other just steps away from each others' doors. As Jimin was exiting the elevator, Jungkook had a hunch he was the one coming out because on summer breaks the building's tenants usually go back to their homes and they practically own the building.
Without turning his head up, Jungkook began lecturing Jimin "You told me we'll meet in 10?? you are forever slow in everything Jimin when will you ever change? It's still quite chilly out here you-" When Jungkook looked up, he saw Jimin in his pink hair looking so soft and fragile. He was almost sorry for having a big mouth and giving him a lecture.
He stared at him for quite sometime. Jimin was feeding him his soft side he had long forgotten. Jungkook hated Jimin around since he can remember so he avoids him most of the time and the most that he can remember about Jimin is his nerdy look in a school uniform. But now Jimin looks different. Now he is fighting the urge to scan Jimin from head to toe but he can't help but gulp over what is before his eyes - Jimin's fragile stature, so small, looking so soft making him want to hug him. And how he hated Jimin for wearing such thin shirt that is almost see through. It is true that it's still summer but these days it is raining which makes the last days of summer chilly.
Jungkook was so lost into his thoughts that he did not notice Jimin had been innocently holding his hand trying to wake him from what appeared to Jimin to be a daydream. "Jungkookie! Jungkookie are you okay?" Jimin's cold hands sent shivers to Jungkook's spine not to mention Jimin's leaning forward to check if he has fever.
"A-ah yes I-I was thinking if we could go to this coffee shop?" he replied. Without hesitation, Jimin said "I think that'd be perfect"
