Malcolm doesn't look as scared as I thought he would. His face is solemn as we hurry through the corridor. When we start to reach the end, he looks a little bit relieved and looks more hopeful the closer we get. "That's the power of the book" I say, "an amateur wizard can't hold the book for more than a few seconds without going crazy from happiness." he looks a bit shocked to hear this, but keeps running with me. "When we reach the end, close your eyes while I lower the final spell!" I say. He nods, and when we get to the end he turns his back with his eyes shut tight. "Et vade, spiritus Domini malus!" I say. There's a flash of light and were standing in front of an old wooden door. As I open it, a nagging feeling hits me. As I open it further, I realize the pedestal usually holding the Book of Ages, is empty.
