I almost laugh. We ran all this way for an empty pedestal? Then I stop and think. The Book of Ages, a really powerful magic book was gone? That can't be good. So I write, "Where is it?" In case he's joking me or something. He says quietly, "I- I don't know. I had it here. It's must have been stolen." He suddenly jerks up, a furious look in his eyes. "OSTENDE TE!" Maria screams. "OSTENDE TE! REVEAL YOURSELF!" Max says even quieter, "Maria, it's no use. They're long gone." Suddenly there's a loud crack and we both jump. "it came from outside!" Max yells, "Come on!" He sprints down the corridor, me sprinting after. We burst outside and there's a young, disoriented looking wizard getting to his feet. "Aligans funes!" says Max. Ropes appear around the young wizards feet and hands. The satchel he was holding drops out of his hands, and a large, old looking tome falls out. "Solve!" screams the wizard. The ropes fall away, and he grabs the book and tries to run off, but Max says quickly, "Agedum!" And the wizards is petrified, and falls on his face. He looks terrified, but he says, "Please don't hurt me! I was only doing this on someone orders!"
