~(Y/N)'s POV~
"Hey Knockout! I think I found something!" I called from in front of the computer, my human self becoming awfully tired from the late night search through the coded files.
"It better not be another one of those stupid sparkling shows," he grumbled, "How many of those have we found?" I felt his pede steps behind me, so I knew he was watching.
"Only three, and they were quite cute in my opinion, why they're in here I have no clue."
"Decoys." Was the response.
Clicking on the now decoded file, the page came up empty. Quite confused I started looking around in the file, typing in other codes that might reveal a bit more.
"I don't understand... I ran it through a filter and it said there was at least one thing in here..."
"Well apparently you were wrong."
"Have I been wrong through my entire career here?" I gave him a glare that would have killed.
"No," He sighed, rolling his optics, "But there's always a first time for everything."
There was no way I was wrong. I was not going to accept that.
Determination taking over me, I started coding and decoding farther into the night, despite my fatigue and drooping eyelids. At one point I had fallen asleep, I only know because I woke up on my own accord, finding myself in my little shelf, surrounded by blankets and pillows. I decided to work on the file some more since I had woken up, and grabbed my data pad, finding that my work had been saved. Thanking Primus I started with a few simple codes, seeing where that might get me.
Late the next day I woke up to my data pad humming against my face. Knockout was calling.
"Heya handsome," I yawned.
"Hey sleeping beauty. How long did you stay up?"
"What do you mean? I fell asleep at some point... didn't you carry me to our berthroom?" This didn't sound good...
"No, I tried to get your attention but you were to engrossed in your work that you didn't even hear me... Why?"
"Um... well let's just say that I'm currently on my shelf... with A) no way down and B) no clue who placed me here."
There was a long silence before Knockout said he'd be there in two seconds. Just to spite him I counted until he came through the door.
"That was about 180 seconds."
"This is no time to joke (Y/N)."
"I wouldn't worry about it to much," I shrugged, jumping on to his servo, "Since they placed me here they most likely know about us, so we can rule out Arachnid, Megatron and Dreadwing."
He carried me in his servo as we made our way to the medical wing of the Nemesis. I don't know why he's bent out shape about this. I'm fine and he's not going through a huge amount of pain at Megatron's hand for allowing a human to be on board the Nemesis, let alone have access to every file known to Soundwave, and that's just about everything! He was silent until we reached the med-bay, the giant doors sliding as he entered.
"It's not that I worry about them, it's that I worry about you."
"As you should be, dear doctor."
I glared at the seeker who stood by the medical berth.
"What do you want, you cross-dresser."
Starscream rolled his optics, and sauntered his way to the two of us.
"Nothing, just a well place 'thank you' for making sure you weren't found by a certain war lord and his two newest recruits." He hissed.
"Well thanks..." Where's the catch?
"You're welcome. Now if you'll excuse me, I believe I've over stayed my welcome."
"Dude, you're never welcome." I countered.
Rolling his optics once more, the Second in Command left both Knockout and I to our own devices. I had a feeling this was going to come back to bite me later... I just don't know when.
The cherry red mech set me down on a table, a couple of tools placed rather hap-hazardly. I wondered what it was he was doing before calling me...
"Curiosity killed the cyber-cat you know." Knockout stated, reading my mind.
"Yes, but satisfaction brought it back."
Knockout chuckled as he put his tools away.
"Sooooo... what were you working on?"
"I was taking apart that generator we acquired awhile back. Since the blueprints for it weren't salvageable due to the amount of data corrosion, I'm using it for something else."
"And what is that exactly?"
"It is exactly this: None of your business."
I playfully pouted as he took hold of what looked like a metal rod, grabbing hold of it like a sloth as he brought it up.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Making it so you can't ignore me when I do this: Tellmetellmetellmetellmetellme!"
This one sided fight got me nowhere as Knockout set the tool down in it's rightful place, making me have to get off and start to follow him as I continued my tongue twisting banters and barrages. Pretty soon half of the medical bay was cleaned and ready for use, though my tongue was just about worn out...
"Are you done yet?" Knockout smirked.
"Harbly... Scwap."
Knockout started to laugh as I cursed at him, well, more like slurred.
"You twy... You tw... Never mind!"
I decided to give my mouth a brake from the complicated English language, just sitting on the tray I found myself on and pouting like a sparkling. Knockout finished his cleaning while I watched, every once in awhile finding interest in what he was putting away or cleaning. It wasn't until much later that I started to feel tired again.
"Are you just about done yet?" I yawned.
"Yes (Y/N), I just have to put this drill away."
He did so in a large cupboard, then headed over to the tray to pick me up.
"Any texts for races?"
"None with 'no rules' matches, but a couple. I got an offer for a sponsor, but I turned him down."
"Why?"
I sprawled out on his servo as I stretched, touching the tips of my shoes to his pointed digits.
"Sponsors in the illegal world aren't like those of the legal world. You have to be careful or else you'll fall into a trap, that and I make enough money as it is. Don't need much when you're living with a whole bunch of Cybertronians." I smiled, eyes half closed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He sounded almost offended.
"Means I'm content with what I got ya cherry."
(More will come later! Hope ya'll like it so far! I'm having a bunch of fun writing it! If you like this one check out my other stories! Thanks for reading!)
