~Ultra Magnus' POV~

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE ENTIRE HIVE LEFT?!"

We heard the scoldings of Wildstryke to her Sparkmate Knockout. Apparently there was a mishap with some dark energon and a project under the name Synth-En. Our medic Ratchet seems more than angered at her revealing of the unfinished experiment, and she seems overly angered at the fact the Insecticon Hive had left with their former queen: Arachnid.

"Alright... but I'm glad you're okay," it appears she is not as mad as I hypothesized, "But I swear, if I catch you messing with Dark energon again, you'll have more to worry about then a simple Terror-Con." I stand corrected...

She came back into the main hanger, where most everyone was looking to her with a worried expression.

"Uh... explanation?" Miko rudely interrupted the silence.

"Knockout was experimenting on Silas, you know him well I'm sure. He had somehow integrated himself into the dead husk of Breakdown, so as punishment Knockout and I took the liberty of testing the Synth-En Ratchet had graciously dropped all that time ago. Thank's Ratch." She gave a half salute, and the receiver of this salute growled. I do not blame him.

The femme puppet left with Arcee to talk about things, and my attention turned to Optimus.

"Pardon my asking, but why do you trust her so much?"

It took a moment, but he soon answered.

"It is not that I trust her, though I do, it is more that I know that she will listen to reason."

While I doubt it was meant be an insult to me, I cannot help but feel as if it is after the other day. Of course I listen to reason, but I also am cautious in whom I trust.

"Listening to reason has not been her foreteigh of late," I noted, and I was not wrong. She has been quite rebellious in my processor.

"She is sparked, old friend," Optimus chuckled, a rare occurrence, yet common when Wildstryke is the topic, "I do not blame her for being even slightly rebellious."

"I feel your opinion is quite biased."

He sighed, and what small amount of joy he held in his war scarred optics left.

"I will admit, it is not without bias, but little is without these days," he turned to look out of the hanger, seeing the two femmes laughing, "I fancy her spirit, and pure will to simply live her life and little else."

"Pardon my say-so, but I believe that's called selfishness."

At this the Prime shook his helm, a ghost of smile on his faceplate.

"Pardon my correction, but it's called having a great fervour for life."

He left for something else, of which I was oblivious, or perhaps he simply left for me to think on what he had said. Either way, I am still not quite convinced that this human-Cybertronian wanna-be is worth all this trouble.

~Wheeljack's POV~

So, Mr. Higher-up isn't one for Wildstryke. All the more reason to get on his circuits.

"Hey there," I entered the two femme's conversation uninvited, right in the sight of Ultra Magnus, "How's the mini-con?"

This made Wildstryke giggle, and she put a servo over her midsection.

"It's not a mini-con. Knockout's thinking of going neutral to keep them safe."

"Won't that put a target on his helm though?" Arcee asked.

"That's what I told him, but he's convinced that it'll solve a lot of problems."

Even I can tell that's a death wish. Seperating from the 'Cons is like asking a Scraplet to play fetch with a stick, throw a decoy one way, they ignore it and come after you.

"I'm surprised he's not worrying about his finish," I chuckled, and Wildstryke hummed.

"He's still quite vain, but I've found that he'll do almost anything in order to protect me. He's betrayed the Decepticons more than once, and he'll do it over and over and over again until this entire war is over."

"Does that mean he's rooting for us?" This concept seems a little far fetched in my processor, but, you never know when it comes to a mad doctor. Heh, they've got the full set with the mad scientist on duty too.

"In a sense yes," she shrugged, "but he's not quite ready to give away his certain freedoms as a Decepticon."

"What kind of freedoms do you get from being a 'Con?" Arcee laughed, a sound quite unfamiliar to just about everyone.

         "The worst kind."

Okay... that sent chills down my back struts... Exactly how demented do you have to be in order to like Knockout the way she does?

"Well there can't be too much freedom when you're here," I winked at her, and she looked to me with a sense of confusion, then a sense of knowing. Too be fully honest, she doesn't look half bad. I can understand why Knockout likes her so much. Too bad I didn't meet her first.

"For your information, stud, I'm only here out of necessity."

"Ouch, that all I am to you?"

"That's all you're showing to be, so how about you go and bury those future pick-up lines with the Jackhammer."

Thank Primus my headlights aren't in view... they'd be blinding her.

The two giggled and walked away, twittering as they talked of other things. I heard the tiny steps of Miko, a sound I came accustomed to, and enjoyed hearing.

         "Dude, she's married!"

"Doesn't mean I can't try," I chuckled, and Miko shook her head, though she wore a smirk on her face.

"Doc Knock would offline you if he saw! Strap ya to a dissection table!"

"He'd have to heal my ego that was just shot down, first!" I made her laugh, and she climbed up to my shoulder, like a little Cyber-bird.

         "I hope it's a girl!" she stated.

         "You mean a femme?"

"They're the same thing!" she blurted, quite done with all the new vocabulary, "Is there going to be test or something?"

I chuckled.

         "No, but I hope it's a mech."

         "You mean a boy?"

"They're the same thi... you little troublemaker."

She giggled, and hopped onto my servo, and we headed off to find Bulkhead. Maybe we can lob for a while.

(WOO! One more chapter! But more to come! Love ya'll! Thank you so much for reading my book! I might make it to 100 chapters if this keeps up! Maybe more! This is chapter 91, so I think I'm doing good! Haha!)
