"Pleeeeeeeeeease Heather!" Heather McNamara begged her girlfriend.
"NO Heather!" Duke growled angrily, not caring to look away from her book.
"Why not!?"
"Because I don't like pets!"
Heather stopped for a moment. The sudden silence surprised the other Heather, so she looked up. That sure was a mistake because the adorable yellow Heather had puppy dog eyes and a pouty lower lip.
They made eye contact. Their eyes met, each of their eyes demanding something.
She couldn't take it any longer. Yes, she would regret giving in later, but because it's for McNamara it'd be okay.
"Fine!" Duke gave in, slamming her book closed and setting on her night stand. She stood up and stormed her way over to the closet. Throwing the closet doors open wide she grabbed her shoes and jacket.
Turning back to McNamara she saw that the happy, giddy girl was already ready.
"Let's go!!" Heather jumped up from Duke's bed and ran to the door. Opening the door she was the first to get downstairs, and out of the house....and the first in Duke's car.
Just barely getting to her car Heather spotted a familiar blondie in the passenger seat, bouncing up and down from excitement.
Opening the drivers door the black haired girl got in. She put the key into the ignition and turned. The car roared to life.
Pulling out of the driveway was a hassle for the driver because the only passenger could barely sit still and was talking a million words per minute.

Finally they were out of their small neighborhood and to the center street of town. They passed many buildings and such. They even spotted people they knew going along with their days.
Veronica was waiting at a bus stop with Martha, JD was cleaning up outside of the seven eleven as he had to do so he wouldn't get fired, Ram and Kurt were chasing down Kurt's dog and Heather Chandler was no where to be seen.
Taking a soft turn they pulled into the pet store parking lot. The store wasn't busy at all. The only other cars were a white mini van and a maroon jeep.
Parking next to the mini van Heather shut the car off and got out. The other Heather also got out. When both doors were closed the cars owner pressed a button and the car locked itself.
"Ready?" Heather Duke asked for the last time.
"YES!" Heather McNamara yelled, jumping in place.
"Okay, lets go." Duke said, holding her hand out.
Happily McNamara took it. Together they walked inside, the place was quiet other than a few dogs barking and the cashier talking with a customer.
Immediately they went to the cats, since Duke drove them here and she's quiet fond of the creatures. When it mentioned she didn't like pets earlier, yeah that was a lie.
Admiring a golden ragdoll cat Heather M almost had her face pressed against the cage door. Duke on the other hand was watching a blueish-grey tortoiseshell cat wake up.
The cat stretched his paws out in front of him. He opened his little mouth as if yawning. When fully awake he took notice of Heather Duke. When they looked at each other she saw his brilliant green eyes.
"Duke! Can we go look at the gerbils and hamsters!?" Heather asked while rocking on the heels of her feet. Her expression was that of a child's, a goofy but joyful grin, bright, brilliant eyes that looked at everything like it was the most interesting thing in the world, crinkled eyes to show her happiness even more, rosy cheeks that bloomed whenever she got more excited.
