Story 1:
Icehot | hippo_rider
“So it’s true,” he said, staring at Oliver in respectful awe.
“What’s true?”
“The myths.”
“What myths?”
“The myths about the people from Earth.”
When 16-year-old Oliver Turner receives a mysterious package from his deceased grandpa, he thinks it is someone playing a cruel joke. When that same package explodes into flames and somehow transports him to a seemingly endless desert, his opinion changes. Stranded alone in the desert with nothing but a few water bottles (and a Pillow Pet), Oliver will have to face extreme thirst, bloodthirsty beasts, and much more. Plus, it isn't long before he realizes something: he’s not the only one there. There are others—not just other people, but cities and nations; and they are waging war. Amid the turmoil and suffering, who can he trust? What will he do? And, most important of all, how will he get home?
Story 2:
The Split Game | FromtheBar
Marie, an attorney, is a sucker for a good love letter. She only wants men who write well. Will, a hot writer, is out to seduce Marie, so he will write anything she wants. As the two trade sexy stories online, they begin to fall in love.
Except Marie had lied. One of her characters is not fictional: in fact, it's a man she has hankered after for a long time. Now he is making a play for Marie, and can he ever write!
The two rivals will fight for Marie in imaginary Medieval Provence, Renaissance Venice and real-life Canada. And Marie will have to choose between a soldier and a troubadour, a senator and a mercenary, a lawyer and an academic ... Will and Jeremy.
