Chapter 28: When Is She Gonna Wake Up?

Rayella's P.O.V:

So I get a phone call from Chresanto saying that Sammie was in a car accident and she is in A&E. Everyone in the house rushed to he hospital. We got to the ward she was in and we saw Chresanto and his sister I'm guessing. He looked like he was crying non stop. His eyes were red and puffy, man it must be really serious. I went up to him and gave him a big hug. I think he needed one. He told us the story and I went to see my sister straight away. I walked in and wires and tubes were connected to her. She had a cast on her left leg and some cuts and bruises on her face. She looked really bad, it was worst than the last accident when she fell off that tree. Just looking at the state of her made me cry, but the worst thing was that she was in a coma. I wonder how long it's gonna take for her to wake up. I was joined by the others and everyone was silent just staring at our sister. The only sound was the beeping of the heart monitor. Then suddenly, Sammie started choking in her sleep and the heart monitor started to sound irregular, her heart beats weren't in time. I rushed outside to get a nurse and a doctor and they came rushing inside. Sammie was gasping for air. "SHE'S HAVING A CARDIAC ARREST!" The doctor screamed. We were pushed out of the hospital room and the nurses drew the curtains closed. All we could do was wait.

Doctor's P.O.V: 

"CLEAR!" I shouted when the defibrillator went off. After the shock went throught her body, one of the nurses resusicated her 20 times. No responce. We tried again one more time, we repeated the whole sequence again "CLEAR!". No responce. We tried the third time "CLEAR!" and thankfully we finally got a responce, the patients heart beat was right on track. We thought we were gonna lose her, but thank God we didn't. We drew open the curtains and went outside to tell her family the news.

Chresanto's P.O.V:

"Family of Samantha Millsap?" The doctor asked. I lifted my head waiting for the news to come. "She survived the cardiac arrest and she is doing well now, however she is still in a coma." I sighed in relief as those words left his mouth. I just sat down for a while, when Ray decided to come and talk to me. "What's up?" He asked me while he sat next to me. "Just happy my bae is doing fine now, I just can't wait for her to wake up." I said. " How's your baby momma doing?" He joked. I just glared at him. He stopped laughing. He knows when to stop laughing. "Yeah I'm happy I'm gonna be a father but, I just wish my baby's mother was Sammie not her. I wanted my first child to be with Sammie, not with no hoe who cheats on you with your cousin. Like that's just low." I said. "Speaking of that hoe, look who's calling." Ray said looking at my phone. Oh my God why is she calling me I don't want to hear her annoying voice.

*Phone conversation*

Desiree- Hey baby.

Me- What do you want?

Desiree- Baby, aren't you happy to hear me?

Me- Just hurry up and get to the chase. 

Desiree- Well, the scan is in an hour and I need a ride.

Me- Nigga you know I can't drive. Why is your dumb ass asking me when you know I can't drive.

Desiree- Baby, don't say that.

Me- I'm already at the hospital, so make your own way there. I ain't coming to pick your ass up. You got legs.

Desiree- Yes of course I got legs.

Me- Well then use them! 

*Conversation ended*

And with that I ended the call. There must be something wrong with her. Wow time goes quick, because one minute I just arrived at the hospital, then the next minute, I'm getting called to get ready to go to the baby scan. I got up and went to see Sammie really quickly. She looked the same from last time. I sat by her and just stared at her. I held her hand and I was carressing it. I sat there for another half an hour, I kissed her hand and cheek and walked out. I went to another part of the hospital and that's where I met the main thot herself. "You ready baby?" She asked, trying to kiss me. I dodged  it and walked ahead of her. We waited in the waiting room. "Ms Desiree, Dr. Simon, will like to see you now." The nurse announce. We both stood up and walked into the room. She layed down and they put the gel on her belly. A scan of the baby came up on a screen. "I see your baby boy, is healthy, and his heartbeat is doing good." The doctor started. Wow, I'm having a baby boy. He looks like he gonna have a big head. But he ain't getting that from me. He's getting it from his mother. 15 minutes later we were done with the scan and we left. She tried giving me a hug but I walked straight past her. I'm only in this for the baby, not her. I already got a girlfriend to take care of, so she should stay on her own lane.
