My head felt like it was on fire. I felt rage coursing through my veins, my body lit aflame. Then I felt calm, numbing, pain. Pain everywhere. Then sadness, a numbing sadness that broke me.
My eyes opened as I jumped awake, panting as I gripped the sheets. The alarm clock read three twenty-five am. I looked around, the moon bright as I stood up. I was alone in the room. I let a sigh escape my lips, and opened the door, walking downstairs. Lazari and Benny layed on the couch, their eyes closed. I walked towards the front door quietly, opening it a crack and stepping outside. The grass folded under my bare feet, my shirtless body reflecting the light. I sighed, trailing my hands along tree after tree, my eyes closed as I bit back tears.
My pace increased, the anger fueling my speed, and I started sprinting. The trees wizzed by, but I don't feel anger spread. Instead this numbing cold pushed through my veins, and I tripped over a root. A sharp ache formed under my kneecap, my breath hissing as I sat down, deciding it may be ok to sleep here for the night. I closed my eyes, breathing calming down as I curled up against the tree. I'd spent months like this, sleeping in branches and under trees. It was peaceful, comforting.
"Well, hello there." Her voice was soft, melodic, and kind. I opened my eyes, looking ahead of me. She had sat down in front of me, her fox tails swishing back and forth. Her eyes were peaceful, and her smile was happily kind. I smiled back, and gave her a nod. She smiled again, and stood up, looks at at the moon.
"It's always so peaceful under the stars. I sleep here often." Her voice was carried by the wind, the starlight shining on her blonde hair nearly perfectly. She looked at me with a smile, holding a hand out. I shook my head politely, not sure whether to trust this woman. Her fangs showed against her smile as she came closer, her body swaying suggestively.
I heard a growl erupt from the woods, and a lone wolf crawled out from behind me, putting it's body in front of me. A mother protecting her cub. The action surprised me, and I looked up at it in shock. It's fur stood on end as it growled at the woman, and the woman smirked. Her claws extended, and a low growl spread across the Earth as she stepped forward, testing the Wolf's conviction. The wolf stood it's ground, claws digging the Earth as she got low, looking ready to lunge. I felt a slight pain spread across my head as my vision went blurry, and Slenda stepped out across the druids circle, her aura casting darkness. The tailed woman stepped back, sighing in anger as she started running, only to have Jess grab and pin her to the ground.
"Heya Tails, how ya been?" Jess asked, her knives burying themselves in Tails's shoulders, and a scream of pain erupted from her mouth. The wolf stood on it's hind legs, slowly changing shape until I recognized Bao, the scorpion tail regrowing out as she sat down in front of me, once again naked. Please get dressed Bao.
Slenda picked Tails up, and she looked at me in anger. I sighed as I looked up at her, and she shook her head, teleporting us all back to the mansion.___________________-------------------------
"You couldn't just do as I asked and stay inside the mansion, could you?" Slenda asked, her fist slamming into the wall as she looked at me in anger. I looked up at her coldly, my eyes dark as I stood up.
"I wanted to get some fresh air! I don't understand how I did anything wrong!" I yelled, getting close to Slenda until Bao put a hand on my shoulder.
"{Y/N}, we need to have a talk." Bao said, her eyes dark as she pulled me away from Slenda. Slenda began muttering, and she threw her glass across the room.
"Bao, let go of me!" I said, trying to tear her hand off my shoulder. Her grip tightened until she threw me into the bedroom, locking the door behind us.
"It's time you learned just what I am, and why everyone is hunting both of us."
