Your schedule as a defender of galaxy the universe was way different then your schedule on Al'Caria, your home planet. In the first half of the mornings, you trained with Shiro in hand to hand combat. In the second half of the mornings, you helped Pidge with her research. In every hour before mealtimes, you helped Hunk with his cooking. In the afternoon, you had a rest break. And after dinner, video games with Lance.
But after Hunk and you made lunch, Lance cornered you while you were going to your room.
"Hey, Y/N. I found something that you wouldn't believe."
The mischievous sparkle told you otherwise.
"What is it, Lance?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Come on!" He pulled you by the arm, dragging you off in another direction.
You were laughing as he led you to a balcony.
"Didn't realize I found this earlier." He was sitting on a bench, looking out on a gorgeous view of the sunset.
"Whoa..." You leaned against the rail of the balcony, gazing at the view.
"Well, Y/N. Are you going to join me?" Lances voice brought you back to reality.
"Oh, um, yeah!" You quickly sat down next to Lance.
He immediately wrapped an arm around you, resting his head on your shoulder. Your face heated up. You could tell he was embarrassed too.
"Y/N....what's it like being in Al'Caria?" The unexpected question came out of Lances mouth.
"Well...It's different than K'Caias." You gestured to the planet you were on. " there was nature everywhere. Plants, animals and people working side by side. We literally used trees for houses, vines for ladders. Anything that we could use without destabilizing the planet. I remember one time my parents gave me this flower called a Poppy before... " You trailed off.
"Before..?" Lance prompted you.
"Moons after my parents gave me the flower, the Galrans attacked, taking over my planet and destroying every bit of nature to get to the rare crystals inside of the core. They forced my people to mine it. My parents died in the process."
"I'm sorry.." Lances fingers brushed away the tears falling down your face. "I wish we could've done something."
"It was too late for you to have done something." You reply.
You could tell Lance was getting angry.
"No! There's always something to be done!" He was shaking with anger. " I hate the Galrans! They've taken away so much from the people I love. Allura's people, Shiro's arm, Keith's family. And your planet.. "
"Lance.." You placed your hands on his shoulders, feeling him shudder with hatred for the Galrans.
He looked up, instinctively placing his hands around your waist. Your heart pounded, gazing into Lance's brown eyes.
"I can't lose another person I love." Lance whispered, leaning forward and kissing you.
