Principle's office

We walk into the waiting room and I huff.
Me: Why did you do that?
Noah: Lee was in trouble.
Me: Any excuse for a fight, right?
Noah: I don't start fights, okay? I only finish them. And besides, no one should treat a girl like that. Especially if that girl is you.
Me: Me?
Noah: Yeah. It's like those guys are trying to get in my little sister's pants, which is super gross.
I bit my lip after looking away.
Never great to hear your childhood crush say it's super gross in your pants.
Noah: You know, you have zero experience with guys. You've never even had a boyfriend.
Me: Whatever!
Noah: Wearing a skirt like that is asking for it. Seriously?
Me: You want to go down that road? Do you really?
He bits his lip and looks away. Noah then looks back and says, No. I kind of just played the whole sexist conversation out in my head and it always ended with me sounding like a dick.
I shake my head at him and glare. Just as I go to say something the tuppen walks out.
Principle Miss Y/L/N. First off, that skirt is ridiculous.
Me: My pants ripped! It's all I had.
Principle: What about your back-ups?
Me: Dry cleaners.
Principle: Your back-up back-ups?
Me: These are my back-up back-ups!
Principle: All right! Don't get so upset!
Me: I am upset. Dude touched my ass.
Principle language And Mr. Tuppen will be punished, but I also, unfortunately, must punish you.
Me: What are you gonna do expelle me?
Principle: No you just broke the dress code. You have Detention tomorrow.
Right before I open the door I say, Go easy on Noah he was trying to protect me and my friends. The principle nodded. I walk out and Noah looks at my face then gets a pissed off look as he stands up and comes over to me.
Noah: you got his hand print on your face.
Me: I do?
He goes to touch my cheek and I pull away. "I got to go to class."
His eyes showed that he was hurt but he backed away and let me go.
