The light produce by the thunder flickers in the darkness of the palace. The loud sound of the rain covers the whole roof. In the rainy night, Second Princess Fu Jing rans rapidly as some assassins are following her.
'I must leave the palace. I can't let myself die in this place.'
As her sweat flows in her white, flawless skin, she continues running until she reach the large main gate of the Imperial Palace. The raindrops made her silk clothing wet as well as her long raven hair. Second Princess knew there is no way she can go out so she turn around only to saw those assassins pointing their swords into hers.
"Second Princess, as the last Royal with her eyes open, aren't you feeling the responsibility of following your family to their graves?"
As the assassin said those words, the Second Princess felt so much anger in her heart. She clenched her fist.
"How dare you, a mere assassin, said those words to a Royal like me? Do you wish to die?" The princess mouthed with a cold voice anyone never wish to hear.
The assassins froze in their position as they don't know what to say nor what to do. They knew that the pity Princess has no strength against them for she is just a lady and them, the assassins, are numerous.
"As always, her highness' cold voice can frighten everyone... except me."
A tall, handsome guy wearing a military suit enter the picture. Though the night is much darker that every usual night, the light of the moon made his eyes fiercer, fiercer than before.
"Y-yu Ouyang..."
The Princess stammered as she cried out the man's name.
Yu Ouyang, the General Yu Ouyang, the Princess' childhood friend, her first love, her whole life.
A shock face is in the Princess' face. She can't believe that the man she devoted the most is also the man that betrayed her and even killed her whole family, the Imperial family.
"Ouyang... h-how... w-why... How could you do that? We... We love each other... why?" Princess Fu Jing can't compose a single sentence. They shared their days loving each other, feeling their warm love and touch. How could Yu Ouyang did those things? Killing her family.
Ouyang, instead of answering her question, he just laugh devilishly. General grab one of the assassin's sword and pointed it to the Princess neck. Princess Fu Jing can't believe everything.
"Such a foolish Princess. As the Second Princess, daughter of the Imperial family, I thought you are smart but no, you are as stupid as a mere servant. You thought I love you? You thought I am genuine to you? Idiot! I never love you. Never was. I just did that crazy thing and acted like I am so inlove with you to stole the throne. I want your father's power, wealth. And now, my plan is close to its end. The only thing I need to do is to kill you. Any last word, Princess Fu Jing?"
Instead of fear, Princess Fu Jing feel anger, resent the guy in front of him.
"Mark my words Yu Ouyang, you will never succeed. Your happiness for now is only temporary. You indeed fooled me once but never again. You can't kill me. I swear to all Gods, I can't die like this. I'll return and have a dreadful revenge on you." Princess' cold voice became more colder.
As on cue, the sword scrape the Princess' neck as she lost her conciousness and fell on the ground. Her dark, red blood mix with the rain water.
"Throw her dead body far from here. The further, the better. Do it now." Ouyang ordered.
For the last time, Yu Ouyang look at the Princess' dead face. "Farewell Princess." A devil smile flashed in his face as he turn around.
The evil man walks out leaving everyone. With that, the whole Imperial Fu family died ending the Fu Empire.
That is what Ouyang thought, but is it real? Did everyone die? No. Someone will crawl back from her grave and make her dreadful revenge.
