Chapter three- What happened in Sweden, stays in Sweden

I sit in bed with Emily cradled in my arms with Mom smiling big. "She's going to be so loved." She says. "Don't spoil her too bad. Don't want a Kimmy Schmidt situation." I joke. She laughs and Jess walks in. Mom looks up. "I'm gonna go get some coffee, want anything?" She asks. "You know I do." I smile. She nods and leaves. "...So I take it by your mom's reaction you've made a decision. " He says nervously. "I have. But... I-" "Oh God you're saying no. Okay just ignore me, ignore the question and I'll burrow directly into the g-" "I'm saying yes!" I laugh. Jess looks up. "S-seriously!?" Jess asks. "Yes." I say. He takes a breath and smiles. "Ahaha. I... I'm re- Oh the ring." He says pulling out the box. "Oh right." I chuckle. He smiles and slides the ring onto my finger and kisses me.

Luke walks in. "Wait you said yes!?" He asks seeing the ring. "Yep." I tell him. "LORELAI-" "I know Luke, I helped her come up with her decision." Mom says walking in, pulling Luke back from the collar of his shirt. "Lorelai!" Luke groans. "Let them have their moment." Mom says closing the door. The room fills with silence. Me and Jess look at each other and laugh. "So... the ring fits." I say after our fit of laughter.

"I asked your mom and Finn." He admits. "What the heck does Finn know about rings?" I ask. "Way too much. We may want to see if he's engaged to that milk maid in Sweden." Jess says. "I thought she was Colin's date?" I say confused. "Oh she's was, then Finn basically dated the entire upper coast and somehow ended up with the milk maid. That's where he stopped at the story though so I'm not sure what happened after that." Jess says scratching his head. "Did he murder her or something?" I question. "Or that. How shady is the life and death brigade exactly?" Jess asks. "Not that shady... I think." I mumble.

Mom walks in. "So. I picked up some coffee because now you can have it, and lots of sour patch straws because Colin went to the store. By the way, Louise went into labor." Mom says. I blink.

"Scuse me what?
