It Takes Two // M.E

Chapter 1

Today is the day I'm moving. I'm in my bed covered with my blankets seeing nothing but darkness.

"Emily!! Get up!!" my mom yells as she was going down the stairs with boxes to put in my aunts car.

I lift myself up, and walk to my closet to find out what to wear. I put on my tribal shorts, my purple crop top and slip into my converse and get my suitcase, boxes and bags.

I brush my hair and go downstairs to have breakfast.

*phone beeps*

From: Stephanie

OMG Emily I can't believe you're moving today!!

To: Stephanie:

Me neither. I'll miss you!

Message sent.

I step from the table and walk into the car.

I put my headphones in and sit in the back seat.

My Aunt Nora drives us to the airport.

*45 minutes later*

We're now at the airport and we get to our plane.

I sit in the seat that has the tv in front of it. I wonder what it is like in California.

*3 hours later*

We're finally in San Franscisco. We got to my house to unpack and decide what room to pick, since there's two rooms. I picked the biggest one, since I have a lot of stuff.

"This is a nice house!" my mom smiled as she looked at the living room and kitchen.

My dad said:

"Could we look at some places here?"

I wanted to since I heard there's a huge mall and there are great food places also.

"Mom, can I go to the mall, since I saw one that's near this house."

My mom answered, "sure!"

I grabbed my purse and go. I wanted to go to Starbucks so I went inside.

This mall is really cool. Where is Starbucks? Oh it's right next to Hollister.

I walked in and I just bumped into a boy who had chestnut hair and brown eyes.

"I'm sorry I didn't know you were there." I said to the boy and he looked up and smiled.

"It's okay."

He's cute.

"What's your name?" He asks me.

"I'm Emily, Emily James."

"I'm Matthew, Matthew Espinosa."

"Oh yeah I follow you on vine! And I was a huge fan of Magcon and went to the show back in New York."

"No wonder you look so familiar haha."

I walk to the casheer to order.

"I would like a cotton candy frapachino please."

"Okay"

"So I just moved here today." I said to Matthew as I just ordered.

"Cool, where did you move from?" He asked me.

"From New York."

"I've been to New York before. It's really cool."

"Yeah."

The lady calls me.

"Cotton candy frapachino?"

I walk up to get it.

Matt gives me a piece of paper.

"Here's my number. Text me sometime."

"Thank you" I answered and smiled at him.

This is a great start.
