You were the master of the servant known as Artoria Pendragon Alter.

No, not that one. The Lancer one. The one with a body that puts all other sabers to shame, and the scariest one as well.

Upon first summoning her due to a good deal of pressure from other Magi and your usually disinterested parents for not summoning yourself a servant as well, you had been honest-to-God terrified of her in her full set of armor, which she insisted on wearing.

"Artoria Pendragon, Lancer Class, at your service, master." she had bluntly said, with a command seal forming on your hand.

She didn't ask if you had orders to her. She just followed you and protected you, even scaring your parents into submission after she discovered they had forced your hand into summoning her.

"Do not speak to my master ever again, you deplorable scum." she had told them, pointing at them with the lance Rhongomyniad. While you had managed to convince her to leave it that, she had nonetheless glared at you through the visor of her helmet, scaring you beyond belief.

Overall, she was protective of you, though seemed to do so only as a duty and nothing else.

One day, you and Artoria Alter were taking a walk in the local park. You had seen it to be a good idea, since the weather was nice and you hadn't left the house for a few days after she had decided to keep you inside for safety because of news about a burglar.

What changed her mind? Nothing. She had just solved the problem by skewering the poor man on her lance.

After a while of strolling around, looking at the various flower plantations that had been made into different shapes and enjoying the beautiful summer scenery, you decided to take moment to sit down. You had offered Artoria a seat as well, and after insisting, she had sat down next to you.

Mind you, she was still wearing her helmet, so she was scaring off many of the passerbys.

"You know, I wonder if you'll ever willingly take that helmet off." you told her, "At this point I wouldn't be surprised if you wore your armor while sleeping."

"I don't sleep." she said, "My duty is to protect you, so I wait next to your bed while you sleep."

"Oh, right..." you said, feeling a little creeped out upon recalling your first morning and finding her sitting there.

"Is something wrong, master?" she asked.

"Uh, just maybe I'm a little uncomfortable that you're always following me like a shadow and scaring everyone off, and, uh..." you said before trailing off upon feeling an imposing aura emanate from her.

"Are you questioning my judgment, master?" she said, sounding like a disappointed CO in military.
"Do you think you're in a position to tell me what to do?"
