Chapter 4

Eliza's pov
Beep beep
Beep beep
I wait to see if my phone will stop buzzing but it doesn't so I check to see who it is.
It's Jake, I wonder what's being he never calls me.
"Haylo"
"Eliza, I need help!"
"Oh what's wrong Jake?"
"I think I have a crush on Rich, but I don't want him to know yet"
"Oh wow! Do you want a cover up so he doesn't know?"
"Yeah and I think he also has a crush on me but I don't wanna tell him yet"
" Yeah that's understandable"
"Can I ask a favor of you?"
"Of course Jake"
"Could you be my fake girlfriend for a but until I feel comfortable coming out to Rich?"
"Yeah, do you wanna ask me out in front of the whole school? Just to make it seem legit?"
"That would be a good idea. I'll do it tomorrow during lunch. Make sure you tell Chloe and Brooke"
" Can I tell them about you being gay? So they know that we are fake dating?"
"Are you positive they won't tell Rich?
"Yes"
"Okay then go for it"
"Alright, well I'll see you tomorrow at lunch"
*Time skip to the next day- during 1st*
"Hey I have something to tell you guys about Jake"
"Ooo spill the tea!!" Brooke says while Chloe comes closer to me.
"Jake is going to ask me out at lunch today but it's because he has a crush on Rich so you can't tell anyone!"
"Okay" Chloe and Brooke say at the same time.
The final bell and Michael walks in. When he looks at me, he has a small sad look on his face.
I wonder what's wrong?
*Skip to lunch*
I walk in into the lunch room and head to a small table near the front where  Rich, Chloe, Brooke and Jenna are seated.
Then Jake walks in with a huge poster and a single rose.
"Eliza!!"
At this, everyone turns towards us.
"Eliza,  you set such a large fire in my heart, like how Rich set a fire on my house, would you do the honor of being my girlfriend?"
"Jake that's so sweet, yes I'll be your girlfriend!" I say with fake tears in my eyes.
Everyone in the lunch room cheers and high fives Jake.
I look over to Jeremy and Michael's small table, and Jeremy is sitting there with his jaw dropped and Michael looks upset.
Jeremy's pov
WHAT! Jake just asked Eliza out and he didn't even bother asking if it was okay?
I'm so mad, how could he do this, but if he makes Eliza happy then I should be happy for her.
I look over at Michael and he looks up set.
"What's wrong Michael?"
"Oh it's nothing, just had a rough morning" he quickly wipes the tears streaming down his face.
"We still on for Apocalypse of the Dammed today?" Michael's face instantly lights up
"Of course! My house or yours"
"Let's go to yours"
The bell rings, time for 5th.
"I'll meet you at your car dude"
"See ya"
