03. Why what?

I woke up to Jacob beside drooling. I shoved his heavy ass aside. He's not a light sleeper so he didn't even noticed I moved him. I went upstairs and hopped into the shower. You know, morning routine.

I'm wearing a huge ass white shirt that I got from the men's section (which looks like a dress to me) and a cycling shorts. I went downstairs and smelled the scent of pancakes.

I checked to see and it's Jacob. "So the sleepy head is awake I see." I said. He smiled and said "I am. Want some?" "Of course I do. You made these in my kitchen so of course I want to eat it. Besides, I'm starving." I replied back. "Well, with your appetite, you are ravenous." He joked as he sat down on the kitchen counter top with me. This is where we basically eat even with my bestfriend Sabrina.

After we ate breakfast I cleaned up the kitchen and he went to take a shower in the guest room since he does have some stuff here. He comes over a lot which I don't mind. That's what friends do.

Someone rang the door and I went ahead to check who it was and it's Sabrina. She's wearing a tube top with ripped jeans and her classic vans. I opened the door and she went like "I can smell Jacob's been here." I laughed because she always like to say she's somewhat psychic or whatever. I told her "He still is. He's in the shower. Want some pancakes? We have a little left." She shook her head in a 'no' motion and said she wanted coffee instead. So I poured some and added milk and sugar to her coffee and we both headed out to the terrace area.

"When will you date Jacob?" Sabrina asked. I almost choked on my coffee with her question because I cannot believe she thinks I want to date him. I replied by saying "How do you live with that mentality? Just. No. God no. I'm trying to help him ask Joey out." She stares at me like she doesn't believe and say "Okay? Why?" "Why what?" "Why are you trying to help him? You clearly have a thing together." I shifted my seat so I can look at her better and said "Jacob and I? No. You out of all people should know that men and women can be friends without having a thing!" She rolled her eyes at me and looked inside. We both did. Jacob was already dressed up so Sabrina and I changed the subject.

Jacob slides the terrace door, pops his head out and informed us with a news that shook us to our core. "I asked Katherine out. She said yes."

Sabrina's jaw dropped. Literally dropped. Why am I shocked? Honestly, I don't know. I'm happy for him though. I asked him when are they going out he said that he'll be picking her up tonight at 6pm. So I told him he has to leave and get ready. Didn't have to tell him twice though. I can really tell that he's excited about this date. You want to know what Sabrina thinks? She thinks, this is a mistake. In her own words "You'll regret this one day. Trust me." I looked at her and tapped my coffee mug and let out a very deep sigh. Why on earth would I regret making one of my best friends happy?
