Demi's POV
"no need to apologize, it was my fault. Let me make it up to you with another coffee and I will definitely be paying for your dry cleaning as well, sorry" I said, feeling badly. When I finally got a good look at this Sklyar girl, I opened my mouth in awe. I quickly shut it once I realized what I did.
She gave me strange look and I said "sorry, your eyes, they're just so, blue" I immediately regreted what I said. Her looked softened and a small smile formed around her mouth. She said "haha thanks" while blushing a lot more then she thought. Nice move Demi, good one! idiot...
I handed her the paper that had fallen on the ground and waited for her to answer. She stood there with a confused look on her face. I repeated "coffee? dry cleaning? what d'ya say?"
"oh um" she murmured
"omg I'm sorry! I'm Demitria! you can call me Demi! whats your name?" I said a little too enthusiastically.
"um, I'm Skylar"
"pretty name!" I said (not so) smoothly.
Skylar's POV
"omg I'm sorry! I'm Demitria! You can call me Demi! whats your name?" Demi said kindly.
"um, I'm Skylar" I said super awkwardly.
"So?" Demi said eagerly
"uhh, umm, uhhh" All that was coming out was noises, my social anxiety kicking in. This is only happens with people that make me nervous, oh god no, she makes me nervous. She's Demi fuckin Lovato, of course she will make you nervous.
I fought with my body trying to get words out and I managed to say "I don't know..."
"come on, it's the least I can do after making you drop all your stuff" Demi said encouragingly.
I answered with an impulsed "I guess so"
"Great!" Demi said as she followed me to my car.
"ummm.." I said confusingly
"haha excuse my manners, could I get a ride with you please? I got dropped off by a driver and was going to call when I was done.
"yea, before we go, do you really want to go for coffee? at like a coffee shop? with people? I said leaning on my truck.
"that's usually where people go for coffee isn't it?" Demi said sarcastically, as she saw I was getting nervous.
"I don't know Demi, coffee shops and interacting with people...I don't know... it isn't really my scene" I said surprisingly to a kind-eyed Demi. I don't normally tell people this, why am i saying this to Demi?
Demi's POV
I could see that Sky was getting nervous, why did i call her sky?? Anyways, and I was also thinking that maybe she has some social anxiety or something. She is very shy and doesn't want to go to a coffee shop.
"We don't have to go to a coffee shop! We could go back to my apartment, clean you up and I'll make you another coffee" I said in a unintentionally flirtly way.
I've never really told anyone about my feelings towards women as well as men, I guess I'm bi? who knows, maybe even a lesbian, but no one needs to know this right now.
"Are you okay? you seem kind of...anxious? I said carefully.
"um yea, people and I don't have the best relationship" Skylar said
"how did you get through that speech?" I said jokingly
"lets just say i had a little bit of liquid courage, and an odd boost of confidence" she said quietly.
I laughed as I understood that it probably wasn't just coffee in her cup. A small smile creeped out on to Skylar's face and I couldn't help but melt a little. She was breathtaking, and she didn't even know it.
Skylar's POV
I let a little smile slip as I heard Demi's contagious laugh. I kind of just stared at her until she finally said "So? My house or what Sky?"
I gave a small nod as we climbed into my old blue truck. I called her Darcy. good name for a truck eh?
