I've always been a Christian. My family are Christan. It's known that in the Bible it's wrong to be gay or have feelings for the same sex. My family have told me this for years. But the thing is I'm bi. At first I'd just thought I was feeling odd. But I'd found more attraction to girls. If my family found out,who knows their reactions. Also I'd live in Texas where people don't take kindly to that stuff.

I was laying in bed thinking of this. When I was done,I'd got up and took a shower. First day of school and I'd have to be ready. After I'd got out the shower,I'd got dressed. I'd looked at myself and thought," They will accept you,their your family". But to be honest,they will just abandoned me and be disappointed to their own daughter. I don't want my family to see me as a huge disappointed. I've got up and took a shower and ate breakfast. I didn't have to do my hair. Perks of having short hair. Yes,I have short hair. I just got it short because it looked nice. Luckily my family didn't find out and just thought it just a hairstyle I like. But we still get odd looks from people when we go out. My family don't care about it and told me not to care because even though people think I'm gay,I know I'm not gay and that's what matters. There right I'm not gay,I'm bi. It annoying how I have to keep this secret and stay in the closet. I'd just don't want my family to think of me as a disappointment. While eating cereal,my brother Nick came down stairs and started talking to me. We were just talking about stuff going on in our life. While talking,he ask if I support gays,due to the fact it was pride month and on his video was a pride ad. I didn't know what to say because I do but if I say that what would he say.

Kat: I don't know,you?

Nick: Nope. It's goes against the Bible.

Now I know that my brother wouldn't support me. Now I'm stuck in the closet forever. I'd left and headed to school. I'd stop at the bus stop and waited for the bus to come. While waiting,a girl sat next to me. She was talking and the phone. She seem worried. I'd try listening,but she was talking low that I'd couldn't hear. When I'd got up to see if there was a bus coming,I felt someone grab my hand.

????:Hey,do you live around here?

Kat: Yeah,why?

????: I just move and looking for my way back to my house. It around south 9th St.

Kat: The bus that comes here that says 9th St take you back to your house.

????:Thank you...uh

Kat: Emma.

????:Thank you Emma,I'm Jaiden.

Kat: Well you're welcome..... Jaiden (both laughed)

While waiting for the bus,we started talking. I know what my parents said" Don't talk to strangers" but I have bottle of ice in my hand just in case she tried to do something. Yeah it's not the best weapon,but it's effect on my brother when he tried to steal my laptop.

Jaiden: Where is this fucking bus?

Kat: (phone rings) Oh,I got a text message from my dad. He said there's going to be a storm and the buses aren't picking up anyone,and school is cancelled. Great,known I'd get to be covered in water.

Jaiden: Well at least you're able to go home,I'm stuck here.

Just as she says that it started pouring. We ran into a diner. Well,looks like I'm not going home. We sat at the table and talk and waited for the storm to end. It was a rough one though. We could be there for hours. After talking,we got hungry and order a pizza. We talked more while waiting.

Jaiden: So, I have a question.

Kat: Yeah,what is it?

Jaiden: I'm not trying to be mean but....are you gay?

Kat: Uh....no why?

Jaiden: I'd mean the hair?

Kat: Hey,I-I like i l-like it.

Jaiden: Why are you stuttering?

Wow,I was nevous. I'd mean we just met and she already to find out I'm bi. I'd decided to come clean to a girl I'd met an hour ago.

Kat: I'm bi.

Jaiden: Oh. Well,that's okay.

Kat: Really? I'd thought you be more on the side of hating me.

We both laughed when she said friend. We started talking and I'd learned that she moved to Texas after her mother kick her of her house for her not going to college. She made some to afford a house. She was homeless when she got here,but saved up. After we were done talking,we got up and we're leaving after the storm clear up. She ask for my phone number and while writing it down she saw the cross around my neck.

Jaiden: Have you told your family?

Kat: About what?

Jaiden: Being bi.

Kat: Nope,Why'd you ask?

Jaiden: The cross. Your family Christan and so are you. That why you don't come out to them. Why you were afraid of telling me.

I'd started to tear up.

Kat:.....Yes.(Runs to hug Jaiden)

Jaiden:( Holds Kat) It's okay,it's okay. Hey if you're feeling stressed about anything,and even though we just met,you can talk to me.

Kat: Okay

Jaiden: Good. Looks like my bus is here see you later Emma.

Kat:See you later

I'd felt happy on my way to my house. I'd had someone who didn't care about who I'd like. Someone who listens to me. I'd made a friend.
