I was sitting in my room drawing,about to go to church with my family and Jaiden. My family knew and I could tell,from their reaction to Jaiden, if they found out about me, they'll disowned me. My dad went on rant about her being evil and not wanting me to see her. My brother was calm,but show and talked with disgusted.But I have to say,my mom hates Jaiden the most, always saying how she horrible,evil,scum,and devese no salvation. The way she talk about her you'll  think she was talking about some creature. This angered me because Jaiden is one of the sweetest person ever and to hear people say that about her angers me.

I finished drawing and look at it. It was Hamlton. I love Hamlton,it's so good. While looking,I heard Jaiden walk in,dress in jeans and a black T-shirt,and hid my drawing.

J:What's that?

Kat: Nothing.

J:Okay.

Out of nowhere,when I had my guard down,she snatched my drawing and look at it.

Kat:Hey,give it back.

J: Emma,this is amazing.

Kat: Really?

J:Yeah,I can't draw half as good.

Kat:Thanks.

I smiled a little bit. She must of known I didn't believe her.

J: I'm being honest. Don't ever think I'm lying to you.

Kat:Thank...

Kat's mom: Hey,it's time to go.

Kat: Okay.

We all got in the car. I felt really bad for Jaiden. My family didn't even try to make her feel wanted. When we got to church, Jaiden sat in the back away from us. I don't know why,it's strange?

When I sat down,I saw my friend Alice sitting with her family. God was she beautiful. We been best friends for 8 years. I always had a crush on her. She had amazing brown hair,that flow so beautiful on her skin. Her smile,her body,her everything was just perfect. I wanted to date her. But I knew she would never feel the same.

In the middle of the syurm,there was this woman who talk about loving one another and being thank for the life and family god has gave her. At this moment, I  saw Jaiden leave. I walk to follow her. I saw her sitting in the back of the church with a cigarette in her hand. She look mad and her eyes were red. She look at me.

Kat:Jaiden...

J: You know it's funny. How they talk about how we should love one another,but when someone is different,you have all your right to talk shit about them. Treat them like trash. Fuck this!(Jaiden crying harder and breathing fast)

Kat: Jaiden relax I know it...

J: Emma....I'm...

She ran and hug me, sobbing. I hold her, trying to calm her down. Once she was breathing regularly,we sat on the ground and talk. She pulled out another smoke and started talking.

J: My mom use to say that. That she  thank God for the life and family she has. Then,years later she won't even talk or see her own daughter, because of who I am and who I like.

Kat:Have you talk to your mom or try to contact her?

J:No,there no reason,she doesn't want to me. Nobody....

Kat: Don't say that. I want you. You're my friend Jaiden. Don't ever say that about yourself. I don't know how I would handle my stress without you.

J: Thanks Emma,I really needed that.

Kat: Now let go inside and sit next to me.

J:Okay

After service was done, Alice came to me and ask if I can talk to her. I said yes and told Jaiden I was going with Alice. Jaiden told me she was okay with that. I thought Alice was going to take me to the bench in front of the church,but surprised me with taking me to back of the church,next to the backdoor,where no one can see us. She sat down and began talking.

Alice:Emma,your my best friend right?

Kat:Yeah,I mean,we been for 8 years.

Alice: I'm scared of telling you this but....I'm....uh

Kat:It's okay,just spit it out.

Alice: I'm just scared that you'll judge me.

Kat:Alice,your my best friend,I would never judge you.

Alice: I'm gay and I like you.

I stood there frozen. I never thought I would ever see,hear,or live this moment. My crush just said she like me. I didn't care if anyone saw,I kiss her. She kissed back. I felt sparks. It was a slow and passionate kiss. We smiled thought the kiss. We pull back and I stared in her blue eyes and said

Kat:I like you,too.

Just then,we heard footsteps and I turned to see Jaiden,thank God. I look at Alice and said that she can trust Jaiden and not to be worried. She said goodbye and went to her family. When she was gone, Jaiden went to me.

Jaiden:So,is there something between you two?

Kat:She said she like me and we kissed.

Jaiden: (Smiled and runs to hug Emma)I'm so happy for you. But she needs to go through the parental talk and because your parents are....well,you know,I will give it to her.

Kat: Relax,she a good person. Don't tell my parents.

J: Umm,do I look stupid of course I'm not telling,that's suicide.

Kat: Thanks Jaiden,let go.
